Be careful of taking a re-flashed unit.

I bought a "Global ROM" Motorolla but turns out they flashed it, leaving the Bootloader open. With this, Singpass didn't work. I ended up going into live assist with the technician in China to reset everything to China ROM and now everything works, except And.Auto but that is more likely my fault when I reinstalled Google.

Other than that, phone is great. Should have just ordered the China version first 😏

Wah, I'm not that techy.. not into flashing stuff. I need all my bank / govt apps to work and also work apps too. Maybe I should just get the global US set to be safe, albeit at a higher price but peace of mind.

Yes don't buy reflashed units.

Tbh I forgot all about this (though I know about the issue) when I bought the oneplus for my wife. I didn't really ask. Thankfully it worked out.

The rumors are true: next week, Google will introduce its first foldable phone, the Pixel Fold, during the Google I/O 2023 event.

Google hasn’t revealed any specs for the device, but a brief teaser video shows off a full-size outer display on a phone that opens up similarly to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold devices. The camera bar on the back is similar to other Pixel devices but doesn’t stick out as prominently, reflecting what we’ve seen in leaked marketing materials and even a hands-on video.

CNBC reported in April that the Pixel Fold would be a 5.8-inch phone that folds out into a 7.6-inch tablet. It’ll reportedly include a Google Tensor G2 processor, weigh 10 ounces, and have “the most durable hinge on a foldable,” along with a price that’s over $1,700. Samsung’s latest foldable, the Z Fold 4, launched with a price of $1,799.

We had expected to see it last year, but the Fold didn’t make the cut for I/O in 2022, and rumors about its launch haven’t slowed down in the year since. Google has focused on teaching Android developers to make their apps work on foldable devices and larger screens, which may pay off next week with the launch of this device and the new Pixel Tablet.

A page on the Google Store allows interested parties to sign up for more info once it’s officially revealed on May 10th.

Rich people phone.

The bigger the phone gets, the more important the integration of things like your stylus etc becomes and how polished your larger screen UI experience becomes.

Android tablet experience still sorta sucks with many apps behaving like just a blown up handphone app.

yup, one of the reviewer said can update to android 12. consider no warranty since LG shutdown mobile division. downside is only support 1 sim card.

Google apparently started to work with app developers to optimize for foldables recently for their own release. So we may be seeing something.

These are the leftover, like samsung note 10 still have brand new export set due to bad press about exploding battery few years ago.

Since this was years old flagship could you still get security patch update from LG?

I'm using a Korean LG v50 currently. Bought used online for <$190 in 2021.  It is now on Android 12 with Aug 2022 security update.  But think likely no more liao.  I wouldn't recommend to buy this model now since likely no more updates.  But the quad DAC is good for music with wired headphones, so I will likely still keep it for listening to music.

confirm don't have anymore. LG already shuttered their HP division.

It's functional. But yeah lah just buy a newer midranger lah. 2 years old flagship can get. 4 years old nah.

Given how many phones honor sells outside of China post China ban, probably won't get frequent international OS  updates.

Its sorta same problem with even xiaomi China vs xiaomi international OS for android devices.
