No need.

But must stop to check whether can cross or not

It makes sense that riders need not to dismount at crossing.  but they have to slow down to check for traffic and ensure that moving vehicles could see them  before clearing a zebra crossing or junction.

I had said earlier

Both car and cyclist should stop and check.

Cyclists have no idea heavy vehicle drivers cant see where they are around the bus. The bigger the vehicle the more blind spots. Those drivers who drives big buses and lorries also spend quite a lot of time on the road. Their concentration level isnt 100%.

Most dun bother to check.... they assume drivers will stop for them.

Poor kid. Unfortunately see many of these YPs on fixies on our roads and pavements. No knowledge of highway code or road rules, swerve everywhere. A few times I'd stop at red lights next to them, and I tap my helmet and remind them to put on one or face 1k fine. Hope it gets through to some.
