Fujitech casement aircon (made in China) DIY install. It runs on 13A plug, low power, like window unit, only more expensive. It has an inverter motor, so hopefully it doesn't consume too much power. 2 ticks, not too bad.

This replace a very noisy EuropAce portable aircon. i also had to replace the plastic exhaust twice, as it disintegrate under the exhaust heat.

At first I thought of mounting near the end of the window, but there was some blockage. I didn't want to remove a plastic stopper.  So I install it in the middle, after one side sliding window is locked.

Took me a couple of hours trying to figure out the best way around yet more blockage by the window grill.

The whole thing rest on the casement frame. It must be securely screwed onto the window frame, bottom and top. Then after that it's a matter of sliding the aircon in and locked it.

I have some, they are blue in colour, called concrete screw. They need the correct drill size. Some people use the wrong size and then complain it come lose. [;)]

Thanks. What size did you buy? 1.25”?

Why you need to use this. Also not that cheap. Not much trouble to put in the typical red or green plug. If more load then the expansion bolt.

Facebook group. Some People there say got holes, so shit can fall in. The connectors are exposed, so not safe. Basically ignorant and kiasee people who don’t know what the heck they are talking about.

Since concrete screw is more expensive, I use it on certain situation, like putting a pilot screw to pin a trunking to the wall, since I'm only one person DIY with no helper.

After that, if desired, you can remove the screw and reuse elsewhere.

It's also not readily available here, I can only find it at Amazon.

These kind of supply is supposed to be hidden in casing or generally unreachable by layman.

But I read the reviews, still need to use  drill bit to drill a hole first 😅

Do you? If so really LPPL. 🤣

Yes, you still need a masonry  drill bit to make a hole first.

Only thing you saved is a wall plug. The concrete screw has dual threads which helps it to stay in the hole.

Changed a dead LED downlight yesterday. Its supposed to be a 10-10.5cm cutout for a smaller square LED.

I had a philips commercial grade one (longer life and supposedly brighter) which i bought some time ago as a spare.
https://shopee.sg/Philips-Singapore-DN027B-G2-G3-Professional-LED-Downlight-High-Brightness-Down-light-DN020B-Clearance-i.1268545.7519350073?sp_atk=efd63c92-0f5e-4530-8e27-7b3cfd761821&xptdk=efd63c92-0f5e-4530-8e27-7b3cfd761821

So during 11.11, bought this slim one cos i thought would match the ones in my dining area better (the philips one is plastic frame) as all the others are alu frame.
But wah yesterday, went going to change it, open up, the alu frame takes up so much of the area for the 6watt model. And the box stated only 450lm...

https://shopee.sg/Liniq-Safety-Mark-LED-Downlight-False-Ceiling-slim-downlight-LQ-8001-model-i.1268545.7254738793?sp_atk=a6c50d65-0f6b-45cd-afd0-65bd75245d00&xptdk=a6c50d65-0f6b-45cd-afd0-65bd75245d00

wth the philips 7watt one can do 25% more. And since it was over my dining table area, decided to use back the philips one. Though since plastic frame, aesthetically not as nice lol, and the dead one, some of the margins of the cutout can be seen due to the slightly rounded corners.

Most of these LED sellers don't state how many lumens the light can output, other than philips one is stated in the spec sheets. I guess u have to ask the sellers on shopee.
