my is front load also. Top loaded should have. My old top load have a filter bag at the side of drum.  You go google your washing machine model, if it is a popular brand should have some youtube videos or pictures.

The 1hr schedule wash always stuck at 34mins mark, on off and restart the washing from a new 1hr wash will always stuck at 34mins mark. Then  I noticed there is error code '0E' in the washing machine LED display, then google for LG error and found the info, then realized is due to the drain filter clogged. Google again then found the youtube video instructions.

Another weekend, another DIY.

This sink trap will develop a terrible odor after every few weeks, i have to remove the trap and clean it regularly.  Noticed the flex hose has also turned black,  suspect caused by the flex hose being lower than the drain hole on the wall , resulting in water retention. 

 

I went to  buy a 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 bottle trap, plus a few short section of 40mm pipes and 2 right angle elbows to convert the sink trap.

Lenght was a bit out that i had to resaw the pipes slightly, but done and am a happy man now. Hope no more awful smell.

I went to one of the shop, the boy told me no time to cut the pipe for me.  Went to a other shop, the vietnamnese boy was helpful, he cut the pipes for me to lenght. He was unable to use the pvc pipe cuter, ended up he had to use a steel saw. At the end i paid him $2 for coffee but he refused to accept.  The pipe was $1.80, 2 elbows for $3.0 and $2.90 for the bottle trap. 👍👍👍

I clean very often

i also use bleach to wash my rags once a week so the tub very clean

Try using this and  use a pail to collect the water during the first drain off, you will see how dirty the drum is. 😁

Usually should be at the side of the drum where there cover. You can check your washing machine manual.

Oxygen based cleaner = Kao Color bleach. 

Used this regularly with your laundry, and you're cleaning the tub at the same time.

DIY ? You need tools. This one is highly recommended. Quite cheap too, I'm using it intensively to remove dried up adhesive on my floor.

The scraper is shiny and sharp. It's a 6-in-1, used by painters (well, maybe not here). It can clean paint rollers, open can, etc.

Timer on my rowenta convection oven stopped ticking. Workaround is to set alarm on phone. Oven is still working well otherwise so no plans to replace. 

DIY repair possible for timer? Thanks in advance. 🙏

Yes especially the upper hinge, also when i do the final alignmemt adjustment ,  as well as  the gap and height of the glass door.
