Can't name the other 2 directly next to SHJ (in the 2nd photo) but they look rather familiar too.

 

Sometime I just find it very strange that when something happened to someone from the opposition camp, similar things happened to PAP in the next few days.

During election campaign, the news of some WP members meeting with Noor Deros surfaced online.

Pritam Singh said that the meeting was arranged after a member of the Muslim community at a mosque in Aljunied GRC asked to meet former WP Aljunied GRC MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap and other Malay members of the party. 

He added that there was no indication that Mr Noor would be among the attendees at this meeting and that he would arrive with a list of demands. 

And now with the leaked photos featuring OYK, CHT & NCM,

“As ministers, they meet a diverse range of people at various events and gatherings.

“They attended the dinners at the invitation of a friend, and Su happened to be there. Minister Ong recalls that months later, at another dinner, Su happened to be there too.”

They said the ministers do not know Su personally and have had no contact or dealings with him, before or since these occasions.

Some pretty heavy hitters in the whos who of Singapore business. 

I wonder if any of them knew Su was a problem but just kept quiet🤔. I belive people at that level are very shrewd at smelling a fraud.

hmm.... maybe LW more than happy to have this self harakiri. NCM was being heavily heavily pushed up. just dont know if he is who LW really wanted or some other old guard decision.

by next election ,

who knows if NCM will even want to run again..... it should be pretty obvious to him people dont really want him.

or if those who keep pushing him up still around in govt or not🤔

Looks like old guard . Only LHL support him. Worry is LHL own support, or because of HC? Which could mean there could be a dragon prince group...

Did any of you hear what LKY said in the video? "If you get 2b 2c, go be an accountant, go be an MP, but don't be a minister" LKY was blunt and direct. 

I just find it sad that the people feel that a mediocre education background is an advantage in politics... nobody is saying being good in school is the most important or only factor but why is being in elite school seen as a disadvantage. LKY definitely doesn't see good scholastic achievement as being a disadvantage. 

Are we looking for people who can talk but cannot analyse things? In school, they do test your analytical skills and what makes you think if you cannot solve a simple problem on paper, you can solve more complex real life problems?

I think LKY biggest worry is that people elect "duds" which I take it to mean, can talk which is a given since they got elected but cannot analyse stuff and solve problems. 

Albert Einstein probably won't qualify for GEP. Also people like Thomas Edison and Winston Churchill.  😂

Don't think anyone is saying a mediocre education background is an advantage in politics but it shouldn't be the sole determining factor.

In fact, noone asked for my PSLE, O and even A level certificate/ score when I last applied for a new role. It is all about track records, experience and problem solving skills.  Perhaps you do when hiring since you are in the technical field?

…. Isn’t academic performance part of the track record? 
It is not the first time I have heard that Lawrence Wong education background from neighbourhood schools is an adv… are you sure no one is saying that? 
 

it is not about gep, I am not sure why people even bring that up. The video was mainly about a question to lky about non elite university graduates becoming ministers. Lky did not say what everyone nowadays is saying, don’t look at university, focus on “track record”. He literally said 2b 2c better be mp, not minister.

i am happy i found the video because for a long time, I seem to be alone in that view.
