Today went to a drink stall at Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre to buy teh o peng ka dai. Out of sudden, the stall assistant shared with me that in the past, they always faced issue with ants going after the sugar left uncovered in containers. However, now even though they keep their sugar in a bowl without cover, the ants left the sugar in it alone. True enough, I saw the sugar sparkling white and left exposed in a bowl. The stall assistant ends his story asking what stuff were added during the manufacturing of modern day sugar and that he usually advise his customer to skip sugar in their drinks.

got a lot of black ants in my car.... =( will see one or two of them occasionally, but when i leave a sweet on the dashboard for a few minutes... i'll see tonnes... sometimes, i do see a few tiny cockroaches moving around too... any suggestions on how to get rid of all of them?

It seems like suddenly there are a lot more ants around the house. No, I've not suddenly changed my habits and left things around that attract ants. I spoke to my parents who live elsewhere and they have the same observation. I'm not sure if it is the hot weather or even the haze. Anyone else experience this?

Hi Everyone, I did a search on the folders and found that none of them have the same issue as me. , but I have ants crawling out of the car engine bay on to the roof top, presumably hot after the engine have run a bit.. how do I get rid of them?

I heard before Charcoals can get rid of durian smells, also heard of panda leaves. How about ANTS ? Is there a method to get rid of the ANTS without using those oil spray or toxic that will kill me in the car ?

wah, my wife told me yesterday night and at the MRT station, after the exit gantry, rows of MIW standing there distributing flyers, saying please support support. my wife say a lot siam, detour other directions. i think they are wasting time, most of the MRT passengers (80%???) are FT or FW, hahahaha... reminds me of IT show lor, all the sales promoter shafting brochures.

This afternoon about 3 plus along Hougang Ave 2 towards AMK Ave 3 after Lor Ah Soo. White ants on top of overhead bridge stands on extreme left of the bridge and aim his cam. They no longer stand in the middle but instead hide on the left to avoid being seen. KNN. Everywhere u go, u see white ants. Maybe garment need to recoup all those $$$ they pay to all those RESERVISTS.

Can any bros share? This morn abt 9 plus, white ant stationed at ECP between FORT RD and Tanjong Katong flyover with a tripod std. Guess many motorists sure got shot cos many tend to speed esp after the ECP cam just after ROCHOR exit. Damn hard to spot cos hidden by bushes. I was doing slightly below 100km. Will I get a ticket?

It is be difficult to maintain at 70km/h since it is a down slope, hope i wasn't caught on their candid camera -

my car the windows gaps inside are full of ants crawling in and out today. any brother faced same situation before? any advice of getting rid such pests? i just set up some ant traps. hopes it helps..

Hi, All If possible, try NOT to be the last car to cross a traffic light from a heavy traffic jam. It happened as follows: There were 3 cars in front me. My fren (another car) was on my right with 5 cars. When traffic turned green we moved on as usual. My fren happened to be the last 2nd car to cross. Then the famous JB white ant stopped him - offence was that he crossed at red traffic light! We were VERY VERY sure that the light is green and NOT even amber when we crossed. The best part is his opening speech was: CNY on 26 rite? Family in car rite? You dun wanna have accident rite? etc....etc..... The worst part is that he told my fren that Rm50 is not enuff to cover his Rm300 summon. Then he started making noise on his walkie talkie on something about reinforcement. My fren remained in the car thru' out the incident, all belts on with family as well. At last, it was settled with Rm100.......... Just an ass luck this happened! We just have to lautgh it off by consoling ourselves that the S$50 will be covered by the cheap petrol nexts trips. I hope this lesson will act as a CAUTION to all JB visitor for the next few days to CNY. Just be careful!!! BTW, I was also informed that the new backseat belt rule in M'sia is not applicable to foreign cars. True, or again settled to under-table as usual. Its a 'boleh' counry afterall! Happy CNY! PS - Please dun be misinterpreted: I am not condemning or quoting about what's good & bad, going or not gong to JB etc.......I'm just alarming all JB visitors (local or non-loca) to take note on this incident. All countries have their certain attractive points to invite visitors - biz or leisures......CHEERs!

Hey guys, my dad's car, an elantra kanna some kind of ants nest or something. No matter how many times i clean the interior and exterior, the ants keep coming back. And recently, it got so bad that they have crawled into the cabin of the car. How can i get rid of them?

Drove past Yishun Dam last night and saw the ants at deserted Yishun Ave 1 leading to Yishun Dam. OK, no big deal, but at Yishun Dam saw more ants doing spot checks on the cars parked at the side. Hope no one who went there last night got summonned. Any updates?
