  1. Hi guys, Marbella seems to be a up and coming dashcam brand in Singapore. Was looking for reviews on brand but found them in different threads on model specifics. So thought I start a brand thread so all can share their thoughts in one thread for easy ref. My ITB100SPW which have served me 5years (with battery changed in between) seems to be dying. I'm looking at Marbella KR8S / 6S but realised there are very limited reviews on Marbella dashcams. Read in forum they used to have video downloading issues but seems to have been resolved with new app in 2018. Read another user had recording time gap between video files. Wonder if other users experience this as well. Would love to hear your reviews for Marbella. Thanks for your contribution.
  2. Starting a thread on this. Just installed this, good price and meets my basic criteria of recording clear enough videos without paying extra for features I don't need, like GPS, lane departure warning etc. Comes with screen and is very easy to configure. Has motion activated parking mode with auto cut off without requiring extra powermagic. All in all, I feel it's quite good value for money.

  6. Hi, Anyone using this dvr? The loop recording max is 10mins, means the recorded video will be overlapped by new one? cannot set to re-loop when SDCArd full? My previous brandless dvd can set such looping when sdcard is full. I don't know why the cam like keep stopping and start recording :(
  7. Anyone tried the In Car recorder from Marbella? http://www.groupon.sg/deals/shopping/Group...ivery/717145805 Is it worth buying? any reviews on it? I always see it's sold out in Groupon and just see it's available again, not sure if it's worth buying. I have used their GPS before but not sure if the camera is equally good?

  9. Hi guys, I am looking at purchasing a dashcam in the upcoming IT show and I hope the gurus around here can enlighten me and point me in the right direction. The three models I am looking at are the Thinkware X500, Marbella QB6 and Blackvue DR650GW-2CH. I heard thinkware is super reliable. It has all the bells and whistles but the price is a bummer. The specs of the QB6 looks good and the videos look decent and can get the job done. Best thing is the price for 2CH full HD. However i would like to know its reliability, maybe based on past models because this is a new model. The Blackvue DR650 has the best form factor. However, I read online that the back camera sometimes turns totally purple. Blackvue also has quite a bad problem with heat. The most overheating problems come from Blackvue units. Having said all these, I am still a newbie at dashcams and hope you guys can help me out. Which should i pick and why? Also may I know approx how long do these cams last? Thanks a ton in advance

  18. SGD139 after SGD12 Discount voucher...WOW....SGD127!!! 5" somemore !!! built-in bluetooth !!! http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/announce...f=332&a=568 Ok...The scenario...I plan to drive from New York City to Niagara Fall to Toronto for my vacation in July...To buy North America map for my current Garmin will set me back by USD70+( According to price online)...I have reserved a GPS from Hertz for my one week rental already @ USD90+... But I won't mind getting this Marbella if it works...Because they say free 70 countries map !!!..Before my vacation...I will have a trip to Taiwan, China, Australia...Can they put all these map into the GPS all at once...I am a little confused when they put on their website that we can get the map download at their service center...Any limitation on how many map they can download into the GPS for us? After the trip...Do we need to somehow return the map to them ? Anyone currently using Marbella can share some opinion on their map support? Is it good? For this price. I won't mind getting it to be place side by side to the Hertz GPS for comparison...However if it is bad...then it is not worth even to spent a dollar on it... Its better to heard from Bros here than the salesman... Thanks.
  19. just to share some information, just went to Audio Hse yesterday .>> got some sale on old gps model...50% but most of the discounted model are EXTERNAL antenna based..., so i never buy.. But now i think the value for $$$ GPS shld be Holux 61 and Shinco GM4300 (it suits my budget of $400 and 4.3") Both sets specs are quite similiar with only exceptional is that 61 dont have bluetooth, 4300 got. BUT 61 is slimer as compared to 4300 (abt slimer by half) The only bad thing is that the Holux 61 and GM4300 is old technology one 24 channel statelite tihngy. GM4380 and Holux 62 are the latest one with 32 channels but are slight above $400 Recently i heard that Marbella GPS are good too... but i never heard of it b4.. anyone got information???
  20. i had som much advice for GPS from here.. So now its time to contribute back to the forum hehe Got my Marbella M550 deluxe for 2 weeks liao. Here is my review.. If i am wrong , just let me know BUT during the IT Fair, the demand was overwhelming>> i need to wait for at least 1 month before i received the GPS. (standard problem faced for ordering at IT fair) :crycry: I got it via mail, Speed post. Delivery timing as set at my convenience :yehyeh: The packaging is chio and classy leh Price i got is $380 from Makagps SPECS >> 1)GPS navigator with malsing & mapking Singapore and Malaysia maps 2)movie player (3gp, wav, avi) 3)Pictures viewer (jpg, bmp, gif and other std format) 4)Music player (wav, mp3) 5)bluetooth 6)FM transmitter for navigation and video playing 7)TTS function available Interior Inside the box, there are quite a few items. IN fact, much more than others 1) AV cable (from gps to TV RGB) 2) Car adaptor - charging in car/ FM transmitter's antenna 3) AC adaptor - charging at home 4) USB - charging via pc/for copying file 5) 2GB micro sd + SD card adaptor with malsing & mapking Singapore and Malaysia maps loaded 6) Card reader 7) screen protector 8) Car mounting 9) stylus Exterior The car mount for the gps is easy to set up .. but sometimes, it will drop off from the glass one (common fault for all car mounting) -> but rarely happens haha The GPS has a 4.3" screen size. Quite a decent size.. The exterior got a layer of black rubber coating > not slippery, good for me as i got sweaty palms + even i put on dashboard, it will not slip off so easily The connectors that M550 have are as followm Bottom> the USB connector Sides>> SD card, earpiece connector , AV-IN Top>> On/OFF switch - for toggling to sleeping mode (must press and hold for 2 sec) Behind >> Stylus (i rarely use, as i use my fingers hehe --> The icons/keyboard are quite big. Even my fat fingers can also type easily). Speaker is at the back too Mounted view
