Dear brothers, currently driving year 2004 Civic (ES5), observe that when driving through hump or uneven roads, the drive feel quite bumpy (is it because of the stiff suspension?). if by installing the above items will the drive be beter (beside better corning)? thank you

Was wondering if anyone got lobang for the above mentioned? My boot lift strut supports seems to be weak now and not lifting like before. I got a quote from my workshop at $130 per piece original from stabilus. Quite ex.. even more expensive than my shock absorber..

There is an argument that fixing such aftermarket braces may make your veh prone to accident as the flex in the body is required .. And the adage if it was so good the mfgr would have included as they are just steel bars and bushings

Hi Guys, I know this sounds stupid, but can i replace my SSS strut with those from the SS1.5/1.3. I cruise the NS very often and would like to have a less bumby ride (especially at the rear). A stockist told me that i have to change the coil spring (front) as well, and the spring seat, bushing .etc etc. Sounds like a lot of mod to me.. thanks VT

Carbon fiber has long been heralded as a wonder material for the automotive industry due to its inherent strength and light weight. Despite this favorable strength-to-weight ratio and the fact that it's now been around for decades in one form or another, the composite has yet to see widespread use in our cars and trucks. There are a number of reasons for this, including the well-known duo of cost and manufacturing difficulties. With the backing of BMW, though, it seems that the time may finally have come for carbon fiber to come to the fore of automotive technologies. Now, another German company, automotive supplier ZF, is looking to get in on the front line of composite technology with a new carbon fiber MacPherson strut assembly. According to the manufacturer, this new suspension component cuts up to 9 pounds at each corner through the use of an integrated wheel carrier, a piston rod of carbon fiber, a fiberglass spring (a use seen on cars such as the Corvette for years) and a plastic top mounting plate. While this unit is initially designed for the upcoming wave of small cars, ZF says the technology can be applied to larger offerings as well.

Hi to all who do not have a strut bar in their vehicle engine and the feel after installing one which I would like to share with. I have been toying for quite some time as to whether I should install a strut bar on my Mit Lancer GLX as my other 2 cars came with it. Reason being that I could feel lots of difference with and without between the cars. My next point is if I install, should a use a single piece or the type with hinges on both ends of the strut bars. After scrutinising through the various websites and understanding the pros and cons, I decided to go for the one piece one and yesterday, I contacted the supplier of strut bars and get his opinion. He also recommended me the single piece type as it is more stable and rigid. After the conversation, I went to the shop and try both before deciding which one I like. While testing them on cornerings and straight road at high speed, I felt the difference on the driveability as the single piece 'ultra racing' is very stable on straight roads and take cornering at high speed very little swaying of the car. I then decided on a single piece 'ultra racing' strut bar for my Lancer model. After installation, I feel the car totally different as it gives me more fun and better kick to drive. Before installation, I had to slow down the speed during cornering and the car was swaying to one side. But I have to clarify that even with a front strut bar installed, one should drive with care. The above is my view and sharing after installing a front strut bar and have no regret in spending the money. -
