Jokerd 2nd Gear July 5, 2013 Share July 5, 2013 I think one of the reason the gov is holding back is what will be the impact of such new laws............. the businesses of many entertainment outlets will be very much affected............we can see so many ppl drive /ride to pubs for happy hours............as well as KTVs at night............. shortage of taxis or public transports if all drinkers stop driving............... need to get more drive you home service............... so it may not be a easy decision for the gov to make after all............ but don't flame me yet................I too support ban and cane the farkers.............just taking a look from the other angle............. [laugh] No lah, add business. If those people never drive to drink then public transport can make money. No accident/injuries/damage to public property - Lifetime ban from driving + 1,000 hours of community service at road blocks meant to pick out other drink drivers 2. Accident with victims - State to repossess all material possessions (including property) and be put into a government-administered fund to finance medical treatment for the victims for life + 5 years jail term + 24 strokes Second Offence 1. All they do is to render assistance (which is good) but that does not solve the problem.. Haiz.. Not cursing..
