There was once travelling in the opposite direction and witnessed an accident unfold right before my eyes at that exact same spot in the wee hours. Was driving leisurely then saw some lights flashed in my direction then bang and bang again. Took out some parts of the railing and some plants. Actually, I saw some railing repair work recently...The workers must be like...TMD limbeh just fix it swee-swee recently.

Not saying the speedsters weren't at fault. They're bound to eventually meet with an accident when driving that fast and reckless.

 

Still doesn't take away the fact that that is a road with 4 lanes... late at night... no traffic on the roads... no reason for that truck to be on the 3rd lane... let alone the other hogger on 2.

 

I would prefer to leave the policing to the police and the speedsters to karma and get out of peoples way. Too many cuckoo drivers nowadays.

I think you got mistaken on that. These places should act more as a curb to hooning or keep it to the minimum, more than exacerbate or encourage it. An open area like Kallang carpark is harder to control than those 2 areas, with built in and mobile barricades.
