It's an android 11 based on the video ad. It's already android 13 now. If there's no supported upgrade down the years, it's going to be outdated quite soon.

Budget phones seldom get OS upgrades. Minimum now is android 12 bah.

Lol my mother's up lorry phone is actually a Huawei nova3i.

Actually it's just that the glue holding the lcd and backplate have all dried up and both of them are peeling off.

I took it home to copy the photos inside to onedrive.

Lol the processor kirin 710 inside is actually a mid range SOC and faster than the A14. I can feel the difference in use.

Mines only android 10... no more upgrades.

Phone is working fine.

Except go restaurant scan qr code menus always don't work.

In this case the Samsung A14 you bought quite value for money since it is a android 13 phone.

Anyway, it is advisable to buy a 5G phone instead than getting a 4G phone?

They well known in China as a budget phone and also in other part of the world. Even Amazon also have quite number of model sold. For sub $200 phone most are 4G which I think is still sufficient enough in today daily usage, unless you use it as a hotspot for more than 2 users sharing the 4G bandwidth.
The umidigi is the closet you can get for a full android phone with a few extra app pre-installed with audio jack and long battery life that can with stand 2 days of usage.  Downside is it is heavy 225g.
For 5G phone, probably need to find those sub $300 phone, like umidigi A13 PRO MAX 5G

I actually use trend micro myself too.

Cos the qr scanner in my handphone requires u to press an additional button to access it inside the camera app. Inside my old s9+ it will just auto recognise inside the camera app.

For us probably. But basic phones like this are not meant for long use. So may not really be the case.

My mum just want to make calls. She doesn't even message. see 4d numbers though she stopped buying lol.

I would actually buy a mid range phone for my dg next year. Definitely won't be an a14 type of phone lol.

Mid range phone is $300 to $400 plus?

I saw this brand phone, never heard of it but the spec seems like not bad.

Get b4 long ago. Honor nice name only, PRC I think. Utilitarian and cheap. Not sleek.

Looks like many PRC phones. 😂

honor is the sub-brand of huawei.

locally, it's around 300-500+ dollars here locally. Your samsung A54 would be at the upper tier of midrange. But there's a long way to go before flagship price which is >1000 dollars. In between would be your previous generation flagships like mine or my wife's phone.

Personally, I think that's where i find most value for money. around 400-800+ dollars.

I am patiently waiting for HONOR Magic 5 launch in SG to replace my aging Huawei mate 20x
