my current Oppo was purchased from Oppo Official Store on Shopee. no issues. 

for Samsung A series, plenty of local sets with Samsung SG warranty available online so would not suggest buying export set. 

with so many apps on our phones these days, I'll say 5000mAh battery is quite a key consideration.

Not really. Only thing is if buy Chinese phones, need to make sure it is loaded with the international os aka with Google play store. The best way to buy online is to buy direct from the band store. But certain brands like Motorola has no local direct seller. So that's something to take note of.

If you use apple phone, no point to change every 1-2 years for the latest model. But many people still change phone every 1-2 years.

Samsung A54 and A34 are 2023 models. both are cheaper than comparable Chinese models such are OnePlus, Realme, Oppo etc. In fact Chinese phones are getting pricey these days. Not looking at Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco.

I guess most can last 4 to 5 years. It's if the manufacturer can provide both security and OS update for so long. That's something v hard to beat apple.

Yup. No reason to buy prc unless u like it. Or can buy something previous season at a discount like I did.

But Samsung A series phone got the green line on the screen problem? I always heard S series and note even until now still have the line issue.

My A8 been 3 years or more i think... forgot how long liao. So far so good, but camera lose to flagship phones la. A bit problem when go holidays.

Probably those who move from A series to S series is happy, but want better camers.

But i still not willing to spend 4 figure for a phone... i cant bear to pay  la...

never had green line.... not my first Samsung too.

problem with PRC phones available here is price point is now $600 onwards and factoring in previous season effect in say 6 - 12 months, doubt the price will drop to $300+. so starting to look at Samsung A series instead.

Another thing to addon....make sure is sealed set w google play natively installed alr, not those using china set but opened/unsealed to side load google play by e seller themself.

yeah, common issue for PRC phones, hence I am wary when seller says box was opened "for checking purposes only".

My Oppo A17 survived the longest under my toddler's torturous treatment. It's still working. Definitely, no more Xiaomi for me. Samsung still have that green line worry, I guess.

For now, I'm partial to Oppo. OnePlus is giving me problem due to the Emergency Number that can be easily pressed to call 999.

But Oppo doesn't have that button. Hopefully, it doesn't go that stupid way like OnePlus.

Have bought 3 HW and 2 Oppo online...no issue...cheap and fast next day delivery...only downside is HW newer ones no Google...

If camera capability is important...go for the pricey apple and don't look back...my HW 4 lenses also lose out to apple 2 lenses...need some good photoshop skill to enhance the photo quality with the HW inbuilt photo filters and tweaks.

They nerf the warranty from 2yrs to 1yr. Now no support for voLTE, awaiting honor to resolve this issue with local telco, else next year no 3G only can use it for whatsapp call.
Seem honor not much budget for the launch, no freebies, no ad on major online platform. Even platform like lazada, shopee no promotion. Probably will wait 1-2 month to see the outcome of voLTE, hopefully local telco will offer it as recontract options or wait for OPPO X6 Pro to launch.
Just hope my old trusty HW Mate 20X can survive another 1 or 2 yrs.

Second that Oppo being the most robust phone.

This phone has never hung on me once.

I only changed to Mi because it didn't sound good with my headphones.

If I never listen to headphones when flying I would still use the Oppo.
