I suggest building the cycling track along the mrt track. Away from the roads and pavements.

If they get run over by the train...god bless.

Sekali..."due to (cyclist) signaling fault...expect...feeder service..."😁

It is the best place to have the cycling track.

The train is driverless, so cyclist has got no one to confront with. If the cyclist want to kaopeh say train never give him/her 1.5m of space the cyclist has no one to kaopeh to. The cyclist can also run red light on the track. At most get crushed only. The train is driverless so no one will be liable for the cyclists death. The cyclist also can ride recklessly. There is no one they can hurt or cause damage to. Maybe they will contaminate the train track with their carcasses. I think smrt will have to employ a clean up crew to keep the track clean and free of obstruction. The carcasses just bring to SP power, burn them to produce electricity for the trains. Their broken bicycles scrap and the metal recycled to build new trains.

No need what insurance or take what basic theory and whatever BS.

There is a train captain on the NSEWL.  those driverless only in the tunnel.

Not all roads got the cyclist lane mah. So having them put their driving licence or ID on their bike will allow the errant cyclist to be identified.

LTA said it did a study in 2016 but say system to track cyclist too troublesome to manage? Den how the hell they keep track of all the vehicles in sg? The number is much higher loh. Lazy To Act. I bet the ppl doing that study all were cyclists. If these paper pushers own cars now, may they meet these errant cyclists daily and experience the pain they brought to us.

Two prominent high level mgmt from SMRT (drink driving) and SBST (car accident] had bad experience driving car. Now waiting for the LTA's turn to experience the bicycle trap.

Where do cyclists belong? Not on roads or pedestrian paths, a new survey finds

SINGAPORE: Even as an expert panel mulls over regulations for road cyclists, a survey has found cyclists to be between a rock and a hard place.

More than 90 per cent of 503 people surveyed think cyclists should be made to follow more rules. Yet, a majority do not want cyclists to be allowed on roads (59 per cent) and pedestrian paths (74 per cent).

More than 80 per cent of respondents also felt there are more errant cyclists today on both roads and pavements, found the online survey commissioned by the programme Talking Point.

Meaning what?

Majority still supporting them for Item 1-6? 😂

Actually no need ask LTA or what govt agency to wayang so much lah. E-Bike problem cannot settle and enforce already want to catch bicycles?

This cyclist issue will go away on its own, once people are allowed to travel for holidays. Out of 10 of my friends, 4 of them took up cycling as a hobby during Covid last year. During normal times, these 4 of them didn't even bother to exercise type. Suddenly, monkey see monkey do, and too much $$$ saved from travelling abroad, sunk them into expensive bicycles. Once travelling is allowed, the next thing we know is that this cycling hype will die off on its own and we will see many underutilized expensive bicycles being dumped on Carousell.

Yanghan LOL

[Subscriber Exclusive·Lianhe Wanbao Lianhe Evening News Today News] Yanghan and two friends were riding bicycles on the east coast. They were suspected to be too fast and the car fell out of control when turning a corner. After Yanghan hit the fence, he was thrown into the big ditch and was thrown into the ditch. The turbulent currents at high tide rushed tens of meters away, but thanks to the timely rescue of friends, they survived.
