Yesterday saw one grabfood delivery man cycled across the road when the right turn arrow lit up. Really dont know what they are thinking. 

they didn't assume as what you had mentioned.  they assume that if they get knock down you're liable.  just as they law had prescribed.

What the law prescribed is that driver has higher duty of care towards motorcyclist, cyclist and pedestrian.

On the other hand, the law does not stop you from proving the negligent act of motorcyclist, cyclist and pedestrian.

Without this higher duty of care prescribed, go luck if you got knock down by cyclist on pavement.

agree.... its just like some are taking advantages of the prescription.  we gave higher mortal doesn't respect the law at all,  as riding on expressway and tunnel.  as thought challenging the law....

I do not know that.  its their job. I'm not concern about it, I'm only concern about their behaviour ( the cyclist) as though they are immortal/immune to the law / nature.

precisely.  It would be very sad to see unfortunate incident toward cyclist due to their recklessness, ego, entitled attitude and so on and so forth... only to inconvenience other by their actions. if only they are more concern for themselves and other road user, not being a big egoist cyclist with a  puny brain.
