To take photo at Lampost1.

But not all like to take selfie...

Just to reach Lampost1

Should go in the night or early morning

I rode to Lamp Post 1 on CNY eve morning.

Left home 6+ and reach Lamp Post 1 at 8:30 am.

Safer to ride to Lamp Post 1 on Sunday Morning.

I rather drive there with my bicycle in the boot. Then put bicycle there and take photo, then drive home.[laugh]

Well, not everyone can cycle there.

From my home to Lamp Post 1, it takes about 2hrs 11mins for a distance of 45km on a road bike.

On Brompton, it will be 3hrs.

On that day, I did 100km loop in almost 4hrs.

I know but safety first as they are safe roads though I have done Sentosa and also Mt Faber (hell of scary going down more than the brute force needed going up as it was a wet day )

Somehow this does not even Chime any emotions in me anymore

Reckless or not, I have developed a nonchalant attitude to any of these kinds of news due to the precedence set

Yesterday late morning I was driving along ECP after passing Tanah Merah Coast road.......

Saw one lone cyclist riding on shoulder.... Seemed quite fast and quite big build.

Why so many people cycle onto expressway now?

Exactly my point why I have lost any sense of pity anymore .regardless …

Understand what you mean, but regardless who was at fault, it is tragedic to the direct family members, hope all could learn from such lessons  to be a safer road user in their own way.

Responding to queries from The Straits Times, senior vice-president of corporate communications at SBS Transit Tammy Tan said: "We are sorry that this has happened. The bus was travelling straight and about to make a right turn at the traffic junction which was green in its favour when the accident occurred.

looking at this report does it mean the light is in the bus favour when it happen??

i would say 99% of bicyclist dont obey traffic rules especially in neighourhood roads and they will prata to become a pedestrian or road user whichever is in favor of them. Thus, this makes them unpredictable and a danger to others. They should assume all drivers cannot see them and not the other way around.

Yesterday saw one grabfood delivery man cycled across the road when the right turn arrow lit up. Really dont know what they are thinking.

It's the same across all road users, from drivers to cyclists to pedestrians. Don't ASSUME people always can see you coming, even when you had the right of away, because assume makes an ASS of U and ME. Too bad if it involves pedestrians or cyclists, as they had to pay the heavy price if it involves them.

There is no such thing as safe road in Singapore.

Sentosa and Mt Faber is my regular cycling spot.
