My statement has always been children anyhow run on shared path.

Car hits a cyclist who anyhow rides, car driver fault for failure to keep proper lookout. 

Cyclist hits small child, again parents/kid's fault for failure to keep proper lookout.

I usually don't cycle on shared path knowing that pedestrians expect cyclist to look out for them.

Isn't the responsibility lie on both parties?

Pedestrians on shared paths should walk in an orderly manner and to look out for traffic when there is a change in traffic.

Cyclist on shared paths should slow down whenever there is a lot of pedestrians.

Some cyclists expect other road users and pedestrians to kneel down and kow tow to them as they cycle past. Would be better if red carpet was rolled out for them, together with police escorts.

On PCN, pedestrians must kow tow to them. On roads, other road users must kow tow to them. Bus lane during morning peak period? FK you bus, find your own way around, road's closed  

These cyclists, with zero road sense and zero defensive riding skills, will eventually meet their match one day. Whether they end up meeting @RadXor meet a hot nurse in hospital is entirely up to them though.
