Maybe retirees like me got plenty of time. Whenever I am crossing a zebra crossing on my bicycle and I am alone with very light traffic, I either slow down to let the car to filter out or wave them to proceed rather than stop just for me. 

 

It's not about time. It's all about the attitude.

just witness a TP on BMW motorcycle shouted at a cyclist (ah pek)

TP on leftmost lane, going straight, waiting for green light

ah peh balonglong cycling in front of TP under pedestrian mode

me approaching zebra crossing, standby to see if cyclist suddenly switch mode from pedestrian mode to vehicle mode

I didn't notice TP also checking on him

then ah pek switched mode from pedestrian to vehicle mode after crossing in front of TP

continue to cycle on the road instead of taking the zebra crossing

TP turned on his siren and yelling "Oiiii" very loud to ah pek

then lights turned green

everyone carry on their day...

A cyclist who tried to ride away when stopped by National Parks Board (NParks) officers at a closed trail in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve was sentenced to seven days' jail on Wednesday (Jan 7) for injuring an officer while obstructing his duties.

Marcus Lim Zhe Ming, 40, was also fined S$1,000 (US$778) for a second charge of exiting from a non-designated point of exit at a nature reserve.

Two other charges for entering the closed trail along Hindhede Drive and refusing to provide his identity card were considered in sentencing.

The court heard that the trail, located along Hindhede Drive at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, had been closed to the public for at least six months in end-August 2023.

There was a "No Entry" sign put up, and orange netting barricaded the entrance of the closed trail.

But no 1 ask him to ram into that big pile of shit. 

It's like we must drive on the road.

But if there are vehicles break down in the middle or some object drop onto the road.

We avoid right? That is no an excuse for us driver to go drive on emergency lane etc.
