I would really like "Funny" (or "Hilarious") in the options, especially if we're going with weird things like angry/sad/shocked. But I still wouldn't know how to interpret those three - does that mean they're angry/sad/shocked about my post or the subject matter? Example: if I make a post about some joker stirring sheet in social media, does an "angry" mean they're pissed off at the guy for making those posts or for me at bringing it up and/or expressing an opinion they're not happy with? 

Easier with just a binary choice I think. 

Also, I'm sure I'm missing something, but (at least by phone) I can't figure out how to leave a note with the praise.

Angry shocked sad are all 0 points. The emoticons normally are either to react to the post or the person. So it might be unfair for deduct 1 point to the poster if he happens to post sad story.

maybe we can consider laugh to be +1 points.

OK, time for a tutorial session. Many have feedback that the search function is not working. So here is an alternate way to search for post / topic made my a particular member.

Click on the "See their activity" tab on the right hand side of the member's profile page.

 

You will see a list of option on the left hand side of the screen.

 

Click on "Topics" to see threads started by the member

 

Click on "Posts" to see posts made by the member

 

Click on "Status Updates" to see live feed / comment by the member (a new feature)

 

On your profile page, there is now a Live Feed feature, that allow you to post your comment, status, etc. (something similar to blog / FB / IG)

Other member can reply to your feed

And so can you.

I tested this early this week 

Like (positive),

dislike & angry (negative), ,

shocked, sad ( Neutral)

Another thing maybe useful is to "Collapse" the Post to some max size .... some posts were very lengthy and my finger hurts scrolling non-stop

Will do that, once I explore more functions available. And sometime, I also need to double confirm if the function are available for all, or just for mod only. Later spill too many secrets also not good...😅

There are a lot of possibilities with the new platform, so continue to keep the MCF team busy with all suggestions...

Not sure if too late to request for this function. Would be good if the forum allow seeing of consolidated media in particular thread or particular part of the forum, machiam WhatsApp, within certain timeframe. This is especially useful for checking before posting, eg if someone had posted a news clipping before you, or sort of getting a quick summary of what had been posted through embedded videos such as the HK protest thread, or just looking for delicious food pictures to try out. If you are enticed by the food picture, then you could read that post to get the details.
