I think newer cars with button to press to change from drive to park. If same situation, passengers just need to quickly press the park button and the car will auto go into park or neutral depending on the driver leg on accelerator or brake.

But then with so many newer cars with fanciful design on where is the button and or knob. Those unfamiler with the car will find it confusing on which button is which at 1st if passenger would to want to quickly press park. Some cars handbrake is at the footbrake or button and not the handbrake that can be pulled.

Especially Mercedes, the gear lever is at the wiper stalk there.

TP can't be everywhere, but technology can.. satellite GPS can detect which lane they are on and for X amount of time, FINE them once they have been on that lane for X amount of time.

Don't think so highly of the he satellite GPS, it's not so accurate till cm. Depends on the GPS module used, it can be +/- 1m to 5m.

INGAPORE - A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after hitting a deer in Upper Thomson Road.

The police said they were alerted to an accident on Saturday night (Sept 21) involving a motorcycle in Upper Thomson Road towards Thomson Road at 9.23pm.

The 25-year-old motorcyclist was conscious when taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital after the accident, the police said.

The police said the deer's condition was not confirmed, as it retreated back into the forest after it was hit.

In December 2018, a motorcyclist was injured in an accident involving a Sambar deer at Mandai Road.

The motorcyclist, who had minor abrasions, was not taken to the hospital after the accident.

In June 2018, a Sambar deer was put down due to severe injuries after a three-vehicle accident on the Bukit Timah Expressway.

A 46-year-old taxi driver who had cuts on his head was conscious when taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital after the accident.

It is more like tasted than tested.
Now we need to bring all those professors and others who keep saying by introducing laws can curb these people driving at prescribe speed limit, now switch car to a family with pram. How the f**k he is going to stop in time, not sure if PMD rider already have insurance now or still effect party is at their own?

Idiot last minute changed lane to exit CTE!

I ever had to make a last minute exit if I wanted to exit.  I made a quick assessment and I took the NEXT exit.

Singapore is so small.  Miss one exit just take the next one lah.  Even Malaysia is still not so bad.  Wrong exit at NSHW can still use old road to go to destination.

I know it's easier to look at things from hindsight, but I'm wondering how would I react if caught in the same situation as the front passenger? The front passenger probably had only about 1 sec reaction time when he discovered the driver is no longer in control of a moving vehicle.

A. Pull the handbrake and shout "Brace for Impact!!"😖

B. Push the transmission all the way forward to Park, and shout "Brace for Impact!!"

C. Turn the steering wheel like how it was done, then execute a U-turn rather than a right hand turn.🙄

-Note for C option, I may kill someone if a motorbike just happens to be next to the car.😱

How would you react?

Based on movie references, like how black widow steered the chitauri during the flying scene

Do you check cars behind you all the time to see how long they signal? Lorry was never in front of merc when signalling. It came from behind merc and cut in abruptly. Bad driving when he had a big space in front to cut in properly.

I think I got read before.

Option A is impossible cos no handbrake lever for that model of car.   The emergency brake is a foot pedal.  I sat in subaru impreza before.  If I remember correctly if foot is pressing accelerator emergency brake doesnt work (it's a button only btw).  Good question as to why they are removing levers to activate emergency brakes.

Option B i dont know.  Last time I drive auto car from D you can only shift to N if car is moving.  Or R.  But no way to P and car doesnt stop moving.  Fyi I only shifted to N when in motion.  The other parts like shifting to R to stop the car I only saw in mythbusters.

I guess many drivers doesnt think this way, when they realised they need to make a last minute exit, they will die die also must make that exit, and either they just simply stopped in the middle of the road, jam up all the cars behind trying to filter to the exit, or suddenly changed lane last minute and dangerously make that exit.
