Surely you enjoyed the straight six more than the reason that it is quiet right?

Otherwise for an unusually quiet premium ride, Audis come to mind.

Sure, like I said, that low end turbo diesel like torque. And that quietness comes with creamy smooth power.

By mating 11:1 CR with a turbo, and being 3 litre. It was a refreshing change from those turbos with 300+ hp but breathless under 1.5-2k type.

Before that I had v6 supercharged, so yeah I am not the high rpm everywhere VTEC kick in yo style of driver. Probably would have bought a 6 cyl turbodiesel if not for the oppressive tax structure here.

I am not versed with the technicalities, but how would you say is your experience with the V6?

3.0l engine right?

Been driving a 2.0 turbo and wondering what the new experience will be like with a 3.0 v6

V6 u mean the supercharged? The turbo was I6 (B58)

V6S was wonderful mechanical feel when it was paired with the DSG box. U feel damn connected.

The B58 using a turbo and ZF8, was damn good but not as 'mechanical direct connection' feel as the Audi V6S.

Compared to say 2.0 turbo like on a Golf R, the 3.0 gives more relaxed low end torque. Very personal one lah, u have to ownself try. Also not all 3.0 the same. I tried the N55 and felt it was too relaxed compared to the B58.

Then I tried my buddy's V8T... a different level of torque. Feel like got tidal wave pushing you. Not about the 'fast', the V8T might be accelerating at same pace as the 3.0T but the feel is different, got this unstoppable tidal wave feel. you know like when you are neck deep in the sea at the beach and the wave push or pull you? You might not be accelerating faster than when u jump or sprint, but the feeling is different... irresistable force.

Sumthing Nvr seems to changed.

Bimmers,Audi,VW always have the driving Dynamics but it’s too much of a Hassle of keep going to the wshop..

M.B stood in the middle ground in dat aspect but as in many things ,compromise have to be make but there again the newer Mercs is slowly following their German Marques (Water/Oil issues)footsteps.

Yes,of course Mercedes drive have not always been dat engaging compare to those dat I have stated but for many ,it’s more than enuff

Like my Last 3.5(open Sesame) V6(say,less than 2 yrs ago)with Natural aspirated .

Plentiful Enough

You go try you will understand. The bigger engines are damn relak one. At about 80+ highway cruising speed the rpm only 1.2k but the engine still strong and not lugging.

So if buy V8 in Sg, can't even use more than 2k rpm? 🤣

best is diesel hybrid. mercedes had the E400 diesel hybrid. but it was a piece of shit. so many problems. in the end, its either high reving NA like Honda engines or an EV. combine many things into one. sure to be a repair and maintenance nightmare.
