Pay Merc price for Toyota specs (maybe worse if factor in reliability).

The shiny badge is very important to some ppl.

In my opinion if spend a 300k merc and get tiny engine i will not accept it

if below 150k merc tiny engine still ok though. Anything above at least 2L engine

Wait till you see the S$227K E180 which shares the same 1.5L engine as the C160 😱

Turbocharged

The E180 is still impressively fast, for the 1.5l to rocket the 1.5 tonnes body from 0-100 in an astonishing 8.6 secs. Faster than most 2.0l N.A. cars.

Did you all read the 1st post or not??:wut:

This thread is about engine downsizing strategy of Merceds-Benz, where I specifically mention 3 models using the same 1.5L engine...

  1. C160
  2. E180
  3. CLS260

For those that don't know what is going on, go and read the 1st post again...:we-all-gonna-die:

Engine downsize, price also downsize. Okay what. Some ppl like those tai tai or taokay just want to go for the model that cost the least. And the 1.5L spec still looks decent..seems faster than most Jap/korean equivalent.

Why do small turbo charged engines not last long?

Small engine capacity turbo engines seem to the the trend.
