Kklim Supercharged August 5, 2021 Share August 5, 2021 (edited) Anyone knows how I can disable the dimming function on this?https://ibb.co/xF5PVs1 On/off switch is to left of the dimmer knob. Bypass the knob and wire straight to switch? Edited August 5, 2021 by Kklim

Bypass the knob and wire straight to switch? Probably. Or just spend a few dollars get a new 3 gang switch. Remember to switch off at the DB first. Me also never use the dimmers as all the old tungsten bulbs have been replaced by CFL or LED. But I just leave the dimmer knobs at max. There are more important things to worry about. Maybe you can glue the knob at max so no itchy finger can change it! Edited August 5, 2021 by Volvobrick

Bypass the knob and wire straight to switch? If you are not good with elect, don't lah. Just leave it at max or buy dimmable LED bulbs.

Karoon Turbocharged August 5, 2021 Share August 5, 2021 (edited) Anyone could recommend a cheap, durable transparent electric kettle? Bought ones from Giant, NTUC etc (already 3) with 1 year warranty and they each die after a year. (Need transparent to give comfort its not a gecko pool) Tried diy troubleshoot using multimeter. The problem is always the toggle switch. You can remove it and give it a hammer, it will work for a few more days, then die. I'm on my 3rd electrical kettle. Each lasts about 2+ years. Had philips, taiyo. Now using a cornell one which I'm the most pleased with. About 50+

Well the ones i buy are about 50-60 dollar types. So ROI is roughly the same lah My first jug damaged something in the DB box when it shorted. Lol cost me money to repair somemore. My 2nd jug i think something went wrong cos it started heating up the exterior and handle abnormally so decided to junk it for safety. Broken plastic part or dislodged thermal sensor. Already standby a new one in the store room. Have to standby as I want one with an analogue thermometer which is harder to find. Suggest you just buy cheap ones online.

Victor68 Turbocharged August 5, 2021 Share August 5, 2021 (edited) I use mine at least once a day. It last a few years. What could be the problem ? The way you handle it , like washing or something? That may solve your long term problem. Edited August 5, 2021 by Victor68

That's what youtube shows me. It depends. If the grout is fully filled to the top of the tile then need to scrap a few mm off. If it's half filled, you can apply directly on top. But I will still scrap a bit off for better adhesion.
