I am not sure of the age of the suspension but should be at least 7 years and above. However accordingly to the workshop it’s still in good condition.that was about 2 years back.

no sound from the suspension or any changes since then.

I have heard from other friends in the past that KYB suspension is very comfortable? Considering it once my current one goes off

Had also since sure that Swift 1.5 rear shocks can be fitted on the 1.6 and it cost about $100 a piece from fitinpart. Not sure about the labour to change it though

1.6L spring should be shorter than 1.5L.

Not a good idea.

Rear shocks very easy to replace. If competent, maybe 30 minutes. I even diy before. So labour shouldn't cost too much.

Ya. I diy those with separate shocks and spring. Easy.
anyway should get orig or at least KyB. Not sure what fitinpart sells. Stockiest for Suzuki is Popular motor at Owen road.

Suzuki Swift Sport is a Pocket Rocket with very short Wheelbase, usually Small Cars with Short Wheelbase will have a Rough Ride...TS can consider change to a small age Camry or Teana..if He want comfort.

Camry / teana drinker. The high fuel consumption enough for one small tin of similac.

My advice is to change his driving style.

Drive like one aged by 10 years old.

If cannot change car then just put memory foam seat cushion.

I flew back from NZ and 13 hour flight no backside pain.

I will never take plane and not bring this along.

Trust me.  No use if he wants his baby comfortable.

Bring your family members along to test drive M3 Competition, AMG45 etc.

After that maybe they wont find Swift suspension too hard or lateral movement too harsh.

Jokes aside, if your suspension is really old (7 years is quite a lot), maybe the dampers already all leaked out and basically no more damping.

i oso say

in fact change car is really the way out. Not necessarily he has to change to a more  expensive car but a slightly bigger family sedan would solve his problem.

Need some valuable inputs from the experts here.

I am currently driving a 12 years old Suzuki Swift Sport ZC31S.

I must say the driving experience has been great along these years. My entire family is small sized hence space is not an issue and personally I like to drive small cars.

Until the recent years after my first child was born. I start to feel the car has 0 level of comfort. Suspension is horrible, can feel every bump on the road.

Wind/road noise seems fine. Suspension is really dam rough

I tried doing the following things to "soften the suspension"

1) Swap aftermarket suspension back to stock. A good condition item

2) Tyres downsized to 15" 195/60/15

I am not looking for comfort levels of the standards of luxury cars but looking forward to enhance the comfort of my ride to the likes of maybe a old altis/latio/elantra?

If the following can be fulfilled with any aftermarket solution, any opinion is much welcomed!

1) Tone down the acceleration and braking power. Every time when I apply gas/brakes my family members will make noise they "surge forward/backwards"

2) A softer and more comfortable suspension as compared to stock.

3) If I change Tyres to 185/60/15 will it improve on anything?

By the way my entire vehicle is stock for these years

Sorry if this post is weird in anyway. I am just looking for a more comfortable ride for my family without the need to buying a new car.

1. Your pedal work needs refining. Learn the split the travel of the pedals into many minute levels and learn how to control the different levels of pedal travel

2. Nothing much you can do since you already changed back to stock suspension

3. Tyres tend to harden when they get old, resulting in a harsh ride. If your tyres already 3 years old, change them.

Exactly what I said above "change of driving style".

Too add besides the acc pedal can also learn how to step on the break pedal  using different level method. For that to work must avoid sudden/hard breaking. Good anticipation of traffic condition.

Bro, no use due to car size.

My Mini is about the size of Suzuki Swift.

You all very bad.  Ride gets alittle rough only, you ask ppl to change car.

But then again, this is mcf.  Alot of high net worth ppl.

He is looking for a comfortable ride for his newborn.

It can't be achieved with Suzuki Swift.
