Seriously, you see his opening statement at the COP is like still 吊儿郎当. He is as much a ginna as Reasah. i see already think it is clearly the right decision not to involve him. Contribute ideas? please lah, what ideas he has about solving something so serious. Just imagined ideas, no real life experience. This was clearly a time for the adults in the room to take over. ↡ Advertisement

We need a creditable and better party to PAP correct? Both are still political parties at the end of the day, both have skeletons in the closet which will never see the light of the day. My hope is that they work together for us, especially so where there are still pressing issues (high cost of living, covid impact, unemployment etc) to sort out. The controversial WP's Raesah Khan or PAP's Ivan Lim, has made no impact to my life. There are slips-ups from both camps every now and then. And the lesser time both camps spend on political bickering, the better it is. I have no sympathy for WP as its a call which PS made, and he has to live by it no matter the outcome. Unfortunately, the outcome for his party is this COP by PAP. PAP isn't an angel either, it's not the first time we witnessed such committees, which purpose is to extract a pre-determined conclusion and narrative. Creditable and better party? Both sides better wake the F up as the public isn't stupid nowadays. That's why I've said, both camps can say whatever they want, it's up to the voters, the public to judge at the end of the day.

Can we find a good Oppo minority candidate? I don’t know.

Infact I see a compassionate leader take it upon himself to aid a subordinate in distress. Sadly such humanity act has no place in politics. For instance, If one of your subordinate was a victim of sort sexual harassment, would you go around sharing in the company context or would you take it upon yourselves l give her the times and space to sort it out herself. Bearing in mind the backdrop in this case is an elected MP and a leader of opposition parties. No one would go about sharing. In this instance, RK brought up the topic of SPF mishandling an assault case here. Did she get permission from the victim in the first place to share? Being a victim herself, should she not be more compassionate, protective and empathetic as well? If this had been handled with compassion, she ought to be advised to go thru proper channels so that whilst investigation is ongoing, the victim may be spared unnecessary attention. Till now, because the victim is not willing (perfectly her rights as it may mean revisiting old wounds and cause more unnecessary issues with her life), this matter is shrouded in grey, did or did not the SPF handle the case properly? This is not healthy. A leader comes with many strengths and weakness. Many times, more unhappiness is created with a soft management approach because "unfairness" is felt. That leader in order to be compassionate, will keep important aspects or details to himself or just a few. It's this "keeping details" that will cause mistrust, unfair treatment or even favouritism over time. No one really knows why the leader is shielding or not taking disciplinary action for an obvious wrong, in this case, lying in Parliament. Leaders cannot be compassionate? Of course can. But that's the tricky part. How to do so without bending rules or disregarding rules vs protecting a member who has done wrong? I guess weighing pros and cons is critical. And what consequences to the party in question. Is ONE misbehaving member worthwhile to risk the party's integrity and interest? How will this be in light of nation's interests? He will not behave the same lah! No? Compassion will be switched off? I think the line between duty and compassion will often come up, especially when one is in top management roles. Some will add in profits to the equation. Not always easy and clear cut. Which is why the sooner a leader settles some principles within himself and let all know how he stand, the betterer for himself and all those in the party. Now, everything pushed to PS. No one knows RK better than him. Hence, the stage is set for a betrayal and a let down. Hope he still remember there are hundreds of thousands of supporters who look up to him. Fair to them? Is he being compassionate to them when he chose to keep silent? Stay safe Cheers Edited December 15, 2021 by PSP415
Kopites Supersonic December 15, 2021 Share December 15, 2021 If you weaponed the cop than it would no doubt deviate from the initial agenda as to why and how she has lied. Should has put a doctor instead of a lawyer in the cop to ascertian whether she is in the right state of mind to be held liable for blatantly lying in the parliament setting. Whole fiasco now evolved into a witch hunt that someone pointed a gun at her to lie in the parliament.

Actually i must agree to what u say to some extend. But i give it a deeper thought. If things turn around. pap screw up, and WP use the parliament and gov resources as a weapon to attack their political rival. How would i feel?? I think i would feel disappointed X2 What i dun like to see is this culture breeding in the parliament and in our gov. Of course i not saying make mistake dun need punish, need to sack , sack, need to fine, fine, or jail. But not doing all these non stop ,debate non stop etc. Its not 1 or 2 day or, how long have this been on going in the parliament.( i lost track ) I translate this from a chinese comment. When there is real work and important issue to discuss, every 1 skip the parliament or fall asleep, When it come to wack political rival, every 1 like drink dog blood.

I am referring to the fact that she lied in parliament! If the lie is somehow related to the rape, then it should be disclosed to certain key management people lah, e.g. the person in charge of HR. This is not a company btw. This is a political party that is answerable to the public who vote them in. Public interests is above personal one. If value person interest a lot, then stay away from politics lah. I remembered reading (watching) somewhere that PS indeed did gave her some times urging her reveal (sort) it in out with her parents before wanting to make it public. Why can't all have exactly same feelings and insights in everything. Then no need for so many differences! 😂😂😂 I dun feel or see any unfairness in your mentioned examples. There are same same yet different. PM is always first a PM, not a brother. Issues pertaining to nation will take priority. COP is not targeting WP. RK has confirmed lies hanging on her. But it does not mean that she can't speak the truth or did not speak the truth concerning what she claimed PS said. This needs to be settled once and for all for this case, so that if PS is innocent, he can be exonerated totally. No greys. If he's not, obviously he's to be taken to task too.
