I recall there was a case some years back, somebody actually measured the parking lot and it was not within spec, the lots had to be redrawn, cannot remember whether it was HDB or URA.

To add to what Blueray had posted, the following is the Code of Practice for vehicle parking for new developments. The lots at Lido are smaller perhaps because they were constructed before the CoP was implemented then.

If this whiner is that white car, then most likely he will have the same curse.. the amount of offset that BMW from off-center is similar to that white car (just base on the tiles estimation). And I guess that white car causes the BMW to park offcenter accordingly if he came first which is quite common...

That said, are there any standard carpark lot size that LTA stipulate in writing that HDB, URA or private carpark operators have to adhere to?

The problem is that the size of cars have upsized a lot over the last 20-30years. What was sufficient back then is in sufficient now especially with the popularity of SUV and mpv etc

For the carpark in that picture, I think ok not to park in the centre. But some carpark lots are really small and if someone decides to park within the lot but on the line, the next guy cannot open his doors already unless he also park off to one side.

Location? look like Basement 3? perhaps that time carpark v empty, driver "confused" eps if nearby lots are parallel parking.
