  1. Went to the IT Show yesterday, intending to buy a 32gb micro-SD card for my Blackvue. Was told it is advisable to get a Class 6 card. But the price diff between Class 4 and Class 6 is huge. 32gb class 4 = $39 32gb class 6 = $79 The price diff is ridiculous. Didn't want to be a sucker. I put off the purchase. Did some research. Found out that Class 4 is good enough for HD recording. www.sdcard.org/developers/overview/speed_class/ I did an experiment. Took out the 4gb Class 4 micro-SD card from my Blackberry. Format it to install Blackvue firmware. Did a few minutes of normal recording. The video quality was good. No jerky recording. Everything looked good.
  2. Any bros here wanna fly on Skymark together? ---------------------------------------- Skymark Airlines Inc. introduced a new uniform for cabin attendants on its new flight, which has drawn flak among workers and netizens for its short length. According to a report on Japan Times, the budget carrier announced last December that it would fly 10 Airbus A330-300s for the first time starting this spring. To promote the new flights, the company also unveiled a new miniskirt uniform for attendants who will be working on the plane. However, the Japan Federation of Cabin Attendants, which is part of the Japan Federation of Aviation Worker’s Union, have criticised the uniform. Not only did they call the uniform inappropriate for employees -- who have to stretch high up and kneel down in their line of work -- they also said it would disturb operations and induce sexual harassment. “Moreover, (Skymark) is treating women as products, as it is advertising that this uniform will attract customers. We have to doubt the morality of the company,” the federation said in a statement released on its blog. However, a spokesperson from Skymark have rebutted these claims and said that firm has not directly received complaints from the federation. Safety of the plane will also not be affected, he added. Employees serving on the A330 will don the uniform during the six-month campaign period starting on May 31, after which they will revert back to the old uniform. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/japan-airline-unveils-new-miniskirt-uniform-but-attendants-criticise-it-as

  6. Hi folks, I start this thread to share with you the test I did on a SDHC Kingston SD Card, 16GB Class 4 Test finished without errors. You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again. Writing speed: 12.7 MByte/s Reading speed: 17.1 MByte/s H2testw v1.4 Below the results are done using a Transcend SDHC Class 10 16GB card. Test finished without errors. You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again. Writing speed: 12.5 MByte/s Reading speed: 20.3 MByte/s H2testw v1.4 As owners of in car camera owner, I believe you want to have a good writing speed SD card to record your HD or Full HD video. I owned both class 4 and class 10, in terms of writing speed is the MOST important factor to record HD videos and I don't think see significant increase in writing speed except for the READING SPEED. There again, is it really worth getting the fastest class 10 SD card where the performance of writing is almost on PAR with class 4??? Anyone can share their thoughts?

  13. I DIYed waxing and polishing. Obviously the methods used were wrong and ended up, my black sedan has micro swirling scratches all over! They look like patches all over, very visible under light. I went to a Car Grooming shop at punggol plaza and was told that they can only temporarily hide the micro scratches for only 2 months. They charge $138. Wat dya guys think? ANy other recommendation? How abt 3Mendouz Shine? http://3mendouz.com.sg Saw their website, not bad but dunno the price.

  16. Daihatsu Tanto Daihatsu introduced its new Tanto to the domestic market. The car was previewed as a concept at the recent Tokyo Motor Show. Tanto, which is Italian for plenty is based on the Move and offers plenty of space in a package which is only 3.4 meter long. The cabin length is 2000 mm. By dropping the floor level and grabbing 1330 mm of cabin height, there is enough space for the children to stand up and walk. The doors open virtually 90 degrees. Daihatsu's 3-cylinder 659 cc TOPAZ engine powers the new miniwagon. There's a turbo version with a max power of 64 bhp at 6400 rpm. OH WOW! Safety equipment includes dual airbags, pre-tensioner, ISOFIX child seat. Options include Toyota's G-Book info system.
  17. Just installed two Micro Compressors into my St-R-eam, in place of my Ecotek. Location much better - smack behind the front grille to take in cooler air. Results - car feels smoother, more responsive, brake feel firmer. Except... idle rpm running higher - anyone tried installing this thing and had any such experience ? I suspect it may be my piggy back ECU getting confused with the fuel/air mix, since stock ECUs are supposed to adjust automatically.
  18. Does anyone know where to find Micro engine oil filters? I heard they are very good. Of if anyone with cheapo lobangs for oil filter, let me know. Me going to service my car in m'sia. Will buy a filter from here.....and buy the synthetic oil there. Best of both worlds!
