  1. This young chap was travelling along AYE at a speed of below 90km/h on lane 1. He performed an Emergency Brake after i flashed him from behind. He did a 2nd attempt to create a near miss to show his big EGO. After moving to lane 1, he slowed down beside me on my left and starts his gesturing and only stopped after i pointed to him the video camera in my car. watch from 55 secs onwards Dont know what's wrong with people nowadays? Want to travel on lane 1 but < 90km/h and even slower than cars on lane 2. The file is too large at 734mb when i uploaded in onto youtube. How to resize so that i can send it to the TP?
  2. WTF! Seems like the driver is anticipating the accident. So calm when he alight from the car. Maybe saw the camera, quickly run for his life ============================================================= http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...#commentSection Driver causes crash by swerving into STOMPer's lane and jamming on brakes A Honda driver cut into STOMPer Sam's lane along Cross Street and then jammed on his brakes, causing the STOMPer to hit his car. The incident happened at about 9am yesterday (March 12). The driver then exited his vehicle, took photos of the accident and the STOMPer's car, and simply drove off. Said the STOMPer: "The clip that I have attached is the accident between me and the other party. "The timing from the clip is not accurate. It should be on March 12, at 9am. "I was driving along Cross Street when suddenly, a Honda Civil Type R dashed into my lane and jammed his brakes, causing me to jam my brakes as well. "I didn't manage to stop in time so I banged into the car. "The best part is he came out from his car, took photographs of the accident, and then drive off just like that, without saying a word. "Just wanted to warn everyone to be aware if you see this car, as his driving is very dangerous and endangers other road users. "I have since made a police report."
  3. the end of Hybrid is nigh as well? --- Updated 09:50 AM Oct 21, 2012 LONDON - A small British company has developed a way to create petrol from air and water, technology it hopes may one day contribute to large-scale production of green fuels. Engineers at Air Fuel Synthesis (AFS) in Teeside, northern England, say they have produced 5 litres of synthetic petrol over a period of three months. The technique involves extracting carbon dioxide from air and hydrogen from water, and combining them in a reactor with a catalyst to make methanol. The methanol is then converted into petrol. By using renewable energy to power the process, it is possible to create carbon-neutral fuel that can be used in an identical way to standard petrol, scientists behind the technology say. "It's actually cleaner because it's synthetic," Mr Peter Harrison, chief executive officer of AFS, said in an interview. "You just make what you need to make in terms of the contents of it, so it doesn't contain what might be seen as pollutants, like sulphur," he said. The work is part of a two-year project that has so far cost around

  6. Wenzhou investors create Singapore property purchase boom http://www.wantchinatimes.com/news-print-c...mp;MainCatID=11 Staff Reporter 2011-11-02 11:36 (GMT+8) Attracted to Singapore's progressive investment environment which boasts high returns and low borrowing rates, Chinese citizens have quickly become the largest property investors in the Southeast Asian country, with several buyers from Wenzhou making quick buys. According to the Wenzhou Economic Daily, tourists from the city in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang have been purchasing property during their trips to Singapore this year. Amey, a Chinese immigrant from Wenzhou who helped broker several deals compared the manner of her compatriots to people buying cabbages at a market. Amey moved to Singapore nearly a decade ago where she now owns a trading company. The recent buying phenomenon has also turned her into a part-time real estate agent. In addition to buyers who initially came to Singapore on their holidays, people from Wenzhou have been calling Amey every few days enquiring about properties to purchase since last year. After helping sell 10 properties worth a total of 100 million yuan (US$15.7 million) this year, Amey can now negotiate a better price for her countrymen. Buyers from Wenzhou, according to Sandy, a sales manager for Chinese customers at the Far East Organization, Singapore's largest private property developer, are very straightforward and make decisions quickly, with some of them placing orders after just a few phone calls. Hu Jianke, who is from a Wenzhou-based property agency, said it is not surprising that Singapore has become a popular location for property investors because of its political stability, strong currency and reputation for being a garden city. Even though Singapore has seen the most active property investments among Southeast Asian countries, experts said it is actually a fairly stable market and investors should not expect massive profit growth from real estate there. Hu Jianke concurred that Singapore was more suitable for immigration investors than for speculators seeking a quick profit as the local market was not prone to fluctuations. With this in mind, Hu said Wenzhou investors should consider the purpose of their investments rather than merely jumping on the bandwagon by entering the market. Copyright
  7. I would like to propose the above as since some months ago, the political animals or powerhouse forumers have been running all over and affecting the mood of this wonderful forum. To have their dedicated folder will serve many purposes: 1 it will placate those who are not into political bashing and getting damn sick of the antics of those who like to blame everything on government without logic. It is getting very nauseous. 2 those political animals will have a dedicated channel to voice to vent their angle and frustration and find solace and sympathy there. 3 it will be good for housekeeping. By limiting those of same kind into a folder, it will be easy to handle any fallout from trouble with authority. 4 by limiting viewership, as those not into politics will steer clear of the new folder, the 'movement' will not be encouraged due to limited readership. There are young punks who might be misleaded due to the troubling language and attitude used. This is primarily a car forum after all. Those with ulterior motives or agenda should carry their war elsewhere, and not throw their s--t here. Sincerely hope the mod team will accept this proposal to reduce the adversity level here, and enhance the forum ambience.

  9. Mdm Wong trying to kick out her own kids? So many clubs for singles to mingle and be promiscuos. ST Forum Mar 2, 2011 Create a township for singles I REFER to the recent articles on dating, marriage and having babies ("Govt to help singles find partners and couples to have children", Feb 21; and "Govt may review fertility schemes 'as early as next year'"; Feb 26). Young people like to be independent and to have their own space, and one of the best ways to do that is to move out of their parents' homes and live on their own. The Government may want to consider creating a Village Township of sorts, with homes built specially for young, working singles aged 25 and above. This will create a situation where singles live near one another and have greater opportunities to interact and mingle. Invest in good, affordable housing infrastructure for singles to have their own space to meet easily and comfortably in a home environment. Singles who get hitched can then exchange their "singles flats" for a subsidised family flat outside the township. But if a person chooses to remain single, perhaps an occupation limit in the "singles flat" could be imposed, say, up to age 40 or a leasehold of 15 years. Mary Wong (Madam)
  10. Hi All, just thinking,is it the fault of our education system that create so called ah bengs? previously in the 80s and 90s,teacher has the right to cane and impose punishment to students. I remember the days when there are public canings in front of the school assembly. Now the schools imposed the so called " LOVE" teaching. No more becoming scolding the students No more public caning No more standing outside the door Thus students becoming more arrogant, disregarding of discipline and law. So sad
  11. Hi all, Is there such a thing in the web, where by they allow you to create multiple on-line song playlists with one login account? This Playlist is like a song album and you simply search and find your favourite songs and store them. These songs can only be played on-line and you can't download them (theortically speaking). Please advise me. Thank you very much. Regards,

  15. 14 years in the making and i don't even know such thing exist! should i say wow? "Will the Large Hadron Collider save the world, or destroy it? As the atom-smasher at Europe's CERN research center is readied for its official startup on Wednesday, researchers might wish that the general public was captivated by the quest for the Higgs boson, the search for supersymmetric particles and even the evidence for extra dimensions. But if the feedback so far is any guide, the real headline-grabber is the claim that the world's most powerful particle-smasher could create microscopic black holes that some fear would gobble up the planet...." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24556999/
