  1. Dear MCF bro and sis, good evening!! It has been quite sometime since I last started a topic and I think general discussion is the most suitable place for this. Here's the stroy: Place of incident: Marsling blk 19 hawker center carpark Time: Around 12.45pm Date: 5th July 2014 At around 12.40pm this afternoon, me and my gf arrived at this hawker center carpark @ marsling and because we can't find a parking lot, I parked at the side while waiting for empty lots. After 5 min, I decided to drive one round around the carpark to search for empty lots at the other side. Bro/sis who lived here or have been to this carpark will know how the carpark flow (as in veh movement) because there isn't road marking on the road to separate incomming and outcomming veh so therefore we will have to give way whenever there's incoming veh ahead of us....... Then here comes the climax!!! This p-plate nissan sylphy was coming out from his lot and was driving towards the exit and at the same time, I turned right and both of us stopped at the middle of the road for nearly 45sec!!! From the video, you guys can see that there's a camry parked right side so there's limited space for me to steer and move on. What's more, look at the nissan sylphy, he has got plenty of space on his right side and he refused to move!!! Knn, just he can just steer to his right and both of us can move on right? But he chose not to!!! Lucky my gf was by my side, if not I will pull my handbrake and get out of my car to ask him what the fark he want!!! On the account he just passed his TP test, I give it to him this time round! At least the lancer Q-ing behind this Nissan know the basic driving etiquette and he reverse his car for me to pass through! When I passed through, this nissan sylphy still don't want to move!! at least 3 to 4 cars was blasting their horn at him!!! What do you think? If I am in the wrong, let me apologies for my actions in advance! Best regards, Slyison http://youtu.be/bkox765JAH4 http://youtu.be/9s-_a_F-ZdI
  2. Dear all, Came across this thread from ctr.sg ... found it kinda amusing and well (quite applicable to some bros here I guess) Sometimes when we mod our cars, the other half just nags... OK, dating is about mutual compromise right? So to soften their nags, we come up with some creative excuses or white lies to get away with it... Some examples (applies to me personally) Why your Rims Look Different ah? Why your Exos Louder? Wah! These Guages cost how much? So ugly!! look like taxi meters My lame excuses 1) I ran over a porthole last week (while you were out of the country), so gotta change lor... 2) Me: The exos insulation system is spoilt, so it super loud (my ex-gf knows nuts bout the exo system) She: Huh.. then get it change la ! Me: Can't, my car out of production already.... So no choice, we live with it ok.... She got used to it after 2 mths 3) Ooh that's additional safety features... you dun wanna be caught in a situation where the car sudden;y breaks down right? This guages shows additional info to ensure additional safely. Time to Share Bros!!!.!!!.!!! Share your Trade Secret so that we can all learn. cheers !!
  3. like that also can! :o
  4. Singaporean" Gao Ning, Sportsman of the year for 2008, more infamous for being the crybaby who blamed his manager and coach's absence for his failure in the Olympics lost to Philippines 7-11, along with "Singaporean", Yang Zi. jia liau bee i wondered if Tigerwoods ever needed his coach to be around when he competes
  5. Do you agree ? And why like that ? No parking lots, it's like that one. Driving very reckless, it's like that one. Service not good, it's like that one. Housing expensive, it's like that one. We cannot think on our own meh ? It's heaven's fault ? It's gahmen's fault ? I admit sometimes I'm guilty of this myself.
  6. "Lets move on" beats "Honest mistake" hands down................. this is the most convincing way to cover their own backsides without admiting mistakes / boo-boos ............ hopefully other organisations / parties are not going to use it, it's fully patented and gazetted................. any infringement will entail relentless law suits anyone knows of other more dignified excuses??

  8. From TNP, 7/9/2008 In a related incident to the Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 murder, 2 joogers were arrested for disorderly behaviour when plainclothed police officer were conducting enquiries for informations. The two joggers, father and son relation, were stopped while jogging for informations. When the police probed for more information after being told that they have information, the father and son refused to elaborate further. Instead they became rowdy and tried to leave. The plainclothed officer tried to calm them down and urged to co-operate when one of them pushed an officer and fled. They were chased down for about 200m before arrested. The father and son upon arrested were heard yelling "....we are not from here. I am in Singapore doing business, you are violating human rights!" Another case of imitating G. Nair perhaps?
  9. this prosche 9FF GT9 could be the fastest car in the world breaking Buggati Veyron's record. i read about this car from one of the magazines, that compared the GT9 with Veyron. the winner for pick-up goes to the Veyron, but the GT9 is very quick in higher speed. no top speed had been tested on the GT9 yet,but it is speculated that it could break the Veyron's record. porsche had already received 3 bookings for this car but owners had to wait for the production. 3 bookings came from 3 different countries being kuwait, dubai and SINGAPORE. i did a search and found the link below to share with you guys. http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_...icle3334657.ecehttp://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_...icle3334657.ece
  10. hey bros, i realized that its increasingly popular to justify why one should get a bigger CC car using this reason "Hey U sure u wan to buy 1500cc? dont u tink its lugging a heavy body and thus will affect FC?" For instances, Sylphy, Lancer ex, Civic etc. wat i feel is, such cars usually have more than 100bhp in their lower cc form and shouldnt have any difficulty moving the car and hence, wont result in poorer fc compared to their bigger cc counterpart. I remember that in the late 90s and early 2000s, buying lower cc ALWAYS implies saving more petrol. this mindset is slowly changing. Any experts care to clarify?
