  1. TL;DR - An owner of a BMW iX Electric gets caught charging his $460,000+ car at a public power outlet. I pay taxes. You pay taxes. We all pay taxes. But, when you see $hit like this, you can’t help but get angry at where some of our taxpayers’ money goes to. Watch the video here to see if it infuriates you as well: How much is the car? A quick search on Sgcarmart revealed that this car is the more expensive variant and costs a whopping $460,888! How expensive does it cost to charge a car? As I’m not an owner of an EV, I just did a quick Google search and turns out, it’s really cheap to charge! So why would the owner of an expensive car choose to do this? Let’s see what netizens think shall we? Online Chatter COE is quite insane at the moment. Sounds dangerous. Insurance does not cover stupidity after all. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. TL;DR - This middle-aged woman was standing in front of a car park lot at AMK in an attempt to reserve the lot for a Mitsubishi Lancer. If you didn't know, 'chope' basically means to reserve/declaring that its yours. Singaporeans often use tissue packets to 'chope' seats at free-seating areas such as hawker centres. Watch this 36-second clip to see how this woman stood there to be a human tissue packet. What happened? This lady stood in front of a parking lot at AMK Hub so that her Mitsubishi Lancer could get the lot. It was said that there were many empty lots around the mall, somehow this one in particular is the chosen one. Also probably because it's the one nearest to the entrance of AMK Hub. I guess Singaporeans no longer use tissue packets to 'chope', we now use our bodies...? Online Chatter I wonder just how many times she has done this. Takeaway Please do not allow/ask your family and friends to hog the lots, especially not in this way. It is extremely dangerous as other vehicles may not see them standing there, which can lead to dire consequences. Wait a little longer or make a few more rounds, you will find one soon - slow and steady wins the race! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. TL;DR – A driver of a Rolls Royce Phantom holds up traffic in Tiong Bahru because he was unwilling to scratch his car on a BMW X5 parked ever so slightly out of its lot. Hi all! Just a quick one today before I leave the office. This one is too juicy not to share. This video has gained 41k views in just 1-hour after uploading it on Facebook. That’s insane. Let’s watch the 57-second video here. Are you an idiot, sir? The video begins with the person recording the video asking the Rolls Royce driver whether he’s an idiot. It really looks like there’s more than enough space tbh. The BMW is parked just ever so slightly off the line. If kena, you pay? To which the driver of the Rolls retorts: A Caucasian lady attempts to diffuse the situation by asking him calmly to move his car closer to see whether he can clear the ‘tight’ space. But he says that he wants the selfish ‘b**tard’ of the X5 to come and move the car instead of him moving. Isn’t he being selfish too? There’s clearly enough space! Online Chatter Lots of commenters think the car isn’t his. I’m leaning towards that too! ======== Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  4. Just venting cos I found the situation so frustrating. Currently in a crowded food court. Managed to get a seat for myself and my daughter after a long while looking for empty seats. I saw a family of 4 at a set of 3 small tables joined together. Each small table can seat 2. Went ahead and asked the father if tge space at the third table was taken....It was. ..by his son's bag. His reply. .."too cramped". I looked at hi and said "II am shifting the table." And proceeded to do so. How selfish people can be even when they don't need the space and don't care if people are looking or waiting for seats. : (

THANKS YOU for revealing yourself. and again i will say... I FORGIVE YOU~!

  9. Can anyone help to translate what this Ah Tiong posted? I like the bold part. I can roughly understand what the poster is saying in Chinese. I doubt I can eloquently translate to English though. For e.g: how do you translate "挂羊头卖狗肉"?
  10. If you miss the turn, just make a U turn further up and not jam up the lane. The black vios (driven by a lady) is very patience happy Q-ing behind until i drag my horn! I almost wanted to wind down my window and give him my version of 21 gun salute.
  11. To this indian guy who drove an POC Hyundai Tucson and a Lancer and park at Bukit Batok West Ave 6 BBM1 MSCP, you 'chopped' that single lot which is on the first level of the MSCP for 5 years already. You drove your car which is parked on the top level down to second level of the car washing bay, walk down to first level and drive your car out of the single lot, run like a mad cow up to 2nd level and park your the other car in. I salute you to be so discipline and patient to do this every single day for 5 years. You did this to the extend the whole MSCP users know who the hell are you. And every sunday you use public water using tap key to wash and MSCP electricity to vacuum your selfish cars. And you knew everyone is unhappy to the extend you have to install camera in your car in case people do funny things to it. Clever and sly like a fox but selfish.
  12. A bunch of irresponsible and selfish busturds. Don't take decent care of their cars and offload problems to next owner. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1099820/1/.html
  13. Wanted to post this on Monday morning but need to meet my minimum post. Most drivers would have witnessed and encountered too often of a rude, selfish, road hogging, road bully, reckless and dangerous driver on our roads. Should you wish more can be done by our authority/traffic police? Witnessed and encountered yet another such driver last night (Sun 29Aug10) on ECP around East Coast area. The black/silver too tone color car (looks like a Honda Jazz/Fit?) with big "SPOON" sticker on the back windscreen. The driver was very selfish , road hogging (on lane1), refuse to let others to overtake, not signal correctly , jam break deliberately several occasions on lane1 and try to crash other vehicle by deliberately going into other vehicle lane (see video here of SGB658xT and judge for yourself). After i managed to overtake this reckless driver, the driver immediately changed several lanes fast and dangerously in fornt of other cars and headed to the next available exit on left. Maybe scare others may do the same to him or report his action . Hope the authority/traffic police (TP) quickly take necessary actions to this driver and/or charge driver with dangerous driving and road bully. So to the driver or who know this driver please tell him TP will soon sent him a letter soon It's about time we all act more to action/voice our concerns to TP and stop such reckless driver behaviors so as to have a safer road for us and our family to travel on. With so many car accidents on our roads and spiral insurance premium costs every year, i hope we can all do something as a community and just keep sending evidence like this to TP. Q: What actions should Traffic Police do to this driver? Q: What can we do to have these dangerous drivers off our road? You comments and valid suggestions are welcome. Cheers and be safe on our roads.
  14. This morning I was awoken by my car alarm and proceed to the window to see what is happening . Saw a couple walking away. I know that it is either my car got knock by his car or that idiot open his car door so hard that knock onto my car. Went down to inspect my car and I realised that idiot open his car door so forcefully that he created a big ding on my car door. Paint also dropped out . I got furious because I take effort to maintain my car and always careful not to create dings on peoples' car door when opening my own. For me I just kept mum but what I don't understand why are there are such irresponsible idiots around hurting people feelings without due care. Doing this sort of things as though nothing happen. Somemore just polish my car"swee swee" not too long ago. I hope someone would give him back a big ding on his car then he will realise how painful . Now still very "buay song". What would you do if you happen to see people doing this to your ride bros ?
  15. Good article although somewhat technical. Maybe the road planners here should read it. http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080...of-anarchy.html
  16. 1. I heard from the radio about how HDB dewellers make use of common corridors to put their barang barang, turned them into private gardens or storeroom and inconvenient others. Since like a old habit that has been passed down from generation to generation. 2. Some called in and mentioned that they have a tussle with Town council for years to try to convince their neighour to put away their personal objects. But TC would reply that so long they are not causing obstruction, there is no case for them . 3. Another called in that there are even deweller that put their dinning table and chairs. Such that 5 rooms flat became a 7 rooms flat . 4. During MP visit, the grass root leaders would usually go around getting people to keep away all their barang barang so that the MPs don't get to see those unisghtly scene. As soon as the visit is over, all start to pasar malam again . 5. But seriously speaking, who do people have the habit to put unwanted stuff and pots and pots of plants along the corridors, walkways and shared common areas? Don't they find it a nuisance to others? Please comment. Thank you. Regards,
  17. Check out this fella. This joker parks his car there every night till the next morning! He's has been fined $50 (there is a parking ticket) a couple of times already and yet still defiant. I guess since he/she is driving a COE car, he has spare cash to pay the outsourced parking wardens their pay. Go Figure!
