it is very noticeable using iphone and android devices especially when you have many applications opened and switching app

web surfing in mobile site ie MCF ... iphone safari is so much faster than android browser

not to mention apps ... ios apps also faster than android apps ... i mean comparing the same apps

 

the new iPhone7 A10 chipset will be another game changer ...

 

Is it? I don't notice much of a difference between my Note 4 and 6s+. Both work fine for me and I don't really feel any huge difference. Maybe cuz I don't multi-task much. The most is whatsapp, gmail, chrome and one other game. Both phones handle this kind of workload fine. Surfing web depends on internet speed? Using the same wifi both my 6s+ and Note 4 loads websites in roughly the same amount of time.

 

Going to the Note 7, it is only abit faster than my 6s+. But that is only if I compare them side by side, or else, also not noticeable. Not saying iphone is bad btw, in fact it is good considering that it is in use for almost 1 year already whereas my Note 7 is new. Which android device were you comparing it to?

i don't believe that safari open pages faster than android browser.

 

Clicking on links in my wife's ip6's FB no discernable difference than my S6.

It's just that people think it's faster cos it switches over to Safari faster but actually the loading time for the page to load up is roughly the same.

This is no good. They should already have our serial no and record when the Telco sell us the phone. I am expecting either Samsung or M1 to notify me when they are ready to change

 

No lah, telco cannot (and should not) anyhow share customer info with Samsung (PDPA) and also many buyers sell it off to others so not accurate anyway. A better way is to go through their own warranty registration records.

I am a Iphone and also a Andriod user . Iphone is classical and samsung note gives me an advantage over other power user. Using the digital pen application is awesome. The battery explosion issue is unfortunate but it showed that samsung is pushing the boundary of technology to its limit which is commendable. I loved wireless charging and i want it fast :)

Listerning to music I used my iphone and I found it smoothing. Something about iphone i cannot let go :) I am glad we got more than one choice:) cheers

SINGAPORE — From next Friday (Sept 16), Samsung Electronics Singapore will be replacing all Galaxy Note 7s purchased by customers here, the company announced on Tuesday.

This comes following reports globally that the phone’s were prone to ignite. Last Friday (Sept 2), two weeks after the Note 7’s launch, Samsung recalled smartphones in 10 markets including South Korea and the United States, halting sales of the 988,900 won (S$1216) device in those markets indefinitely.

 

Samsung Electronics Singapore said on Tuesday that it is taking a “proactive approach” to organise an exchange programme to support their Note 7 customers in Singapore. From Sept 16 to Oct 2, customers who have purchased a Galaxy Note7 from any local telecommunication operators, major consumer electronics stores, authorised mobile retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung Lazada Singapore Online Store can exchange their current Galaxy Note 7 device for a new Galaxy Note7 in the same colour via self-collection at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre or via free home delivery. 

To exchange their Galaxy Note 7 device through either of the options, consumers would be required to submit their preferred collection time slot online at www.samsung.com/sg/note7exchange within the booking period of Sept 9 to Sept 25.

Galaxy Note 7 customers who participate in the exchange programme will also have the warranty period on their device extended to commence from the date of the exchange.

“Samsung is committed to our valued customers, where their safety and ongoing customer experience is our absolute top priority,” said Mr Eugene Goh, Vice President, IT & Mobile, Samsung Electronics Singapore. “Our customers are important to us and we advise them to replace their current Galaxy Note 7 for a new one under the exchange programme.”

Hold the horse... website still not up.... will comment after all of us actually got our phone exchanged without any hassle...

 

PR is one thing, can promise sky, moon, sun...... lets look at their operations aspect..... later ask you for proof the phone is yours, must do DNA test, go court soon ba, proof that the battery is faulty, your parents is actually your real parents, you actually a fruit hater, you are a Samsung fanboy, your son Christian name got Samsung etc etc then they will change for you....

Just received mine this morning, didnt open the box, went to singtel shop after work, they very nice de, refund in full and voided the contract

 

Dont call their singtel hotline, got quite frus with them, went to the shop, totally diff experience

 

The guy so nice, gave me a nice number too
