What exact fundamental need does electric scooters fulfill that makes it's existence mandatory? I'm asking the question in context of it's potential for triggering hazardous (even lethal) accidents in irresponsible hands.

 

If you need a cheap unlicensed form of transport, there's the traditional bicycles and scooters. For faster longer range transport, there's motorcycles. Yes they can equally cause accidents in the wrong hands but there's no alternative in their respective need segment. Banning electric scooters does not pose the same problem,

P/s: I'll issue a venomous curse to the fker who cause this accident before going to bed tonight. There's a special place in hell for people who hurt little children (and run away).

I feel our politicians have 草菅人命 attitude towards average Singaporeans, only useful when comes to voting time. As long as it doesn't affect them directly, basically they will not get involved

They are going to implement speed limit of 15km/h on footpaths and 25km/h on pcn. Now they just need to step up enforcement and ensure the speed limit is followed.

Based on my current basic celery and the MP allowance, I need to work many times harder based on money and work hard logic spilled by demotivated speakers. I need a few cycles of 24 hours in a day.

The Advisory Panel seriously should re-look in their recommendation of e-scooter being allowed on pedestrian mall. The damage done can cause death or serious injuries.

 

Take a walk, do more exercises. Or daily job of sitting in the office is already killing you. Don't take away the last opportunity for some physical activities when you do your errands and going to the park.

I thought can't go into mall. I know definitely can't be mounted. Even by right can't bring in dismounted (unless folded).

Err go around your estates and see how many heartlander people have e scooters or electric bicycles.

 

It's here and can only be regulated. My wife has one. And we were just at the Market. Saw a 60 year old aunty riding one too.

 

It's just a super convenient way to travel short to medium distances within estates. Yeah sure u can cycle but u want to do that in Singapore weather meh...

and give way to human - just like driving a car giving way to motor bikes. These e-scooters are getting cheaper and cheaper as we

go along and a lot of people will be able to afford one. I think e-scooters are less dangerous than e-bikes and I am glad we are seeing

less e-bikes nowadays.

Seems like the rule of thumb is human give way to e-scooters lo. If you dont want to give way, then dont blame the e-scooter crash onto you.
