Last week, my car misfired in the morning. By afternoon, the car is choking and sounded like a VW Bettle/Harley/Heavily modded WRX ! Misfiring heavily. Pop over the C&C satellite service center. They suggest plugs problem, but since they don't do diagnoistic, they suggest I pop over to their main service center instead. By weekend, the car is quite undrivable and I got the plugs changed over the weekend, and had a shock of my life when I look into plug 1 hole ! This is on my Airtrek, and apparently water goes thru the air scoop and seep through the spark plug cover and settled in the spark plug bay. I believe the water are all flooding around plug 1 and seep thru the rubber boot down the plug well. From the look of it, it seems like it had been rusting for 3 to 6 months, which actually coincide with the extremely thunderstorm that we encounter since December till now. However, C&C claimed that they've not encountered any other complains and suggest I leave the car with them to test by spraying some water on it (which I doubt will be equivalent to the thunderstorm that we get for hours). They do not have a solution for it right now :-( I doubt I'm not the only one facing this problem (apparently, EVO and Airtrek both have this problem, based on the forums that I read). Other countries I guess is not as bad, but in Singapore, with the car park under the rain for HOURS with, say a cold engine, I believe water will seep thru the spark plug cover eventually. Any thoughts on this ?

I have a rusty rotor..... it is getting on my nerve. I know it is normal for the contact area with the caliper to be rusty.... But my whole rotor is freaking rusty including the area that is joining the wheel hub. I just change my stock rotor to "Brembo After market" and it freaking rust badly. Can anyone recommend me a shop that does painting for the rotor. thanks

What is the reason ? i often saw those cars with rusty brake disk ... from what i know is not cause by rain , else my car would have those rusty brakes too ... someone enlighten me pls ? Happy chinese new year !

What causes my car key turns rusty looking? Car less then 3 months. my colleague's 1yr+ airwave key still looks shiny...I'm aware key will gradually turn out this way after some period of time. 1 month ago my fog light causes the fuse to blow due to "stuck" fog light button switch. and later lead to signal lights, IU unit also down. But cannot remember if key has this rusty looks before or after this incident. I wonder is it due to the fuse blow that causes my car key has the rusty looking. anyone experienced the same issue, or it's common?

hello everyone, i just changed to new rims 3 weeks ago, and now the lug nuts started to rust. Is that common? Its original OZ racing ultraleggera. What is the material ah? Any idea how to remove the rust and how to prevent them in future? Appreciate all replies...thanks so much...

Hi all, noticed that my rear drum brakes are getting rusty. How can I get rid of the rust (and keep it rust free). Also, can the drum itself be painted in a anti rust paint(like caliper)? If so where can I get it painted. Thanks Cheers Vignes

Hi there! Need some advise and comment. I recently change my rims to a sporty version (those whereby only you can see the exterior of the disc brake). However, after changing for about 2 months back. I just realise yesterday that the exterior of the disc brake is getting rusty.) I am worried that this might affect the performance of my brake. Pls help me with some advise on how to remove the rust? any anti rust remover available for such cases. Thanks!

I notice my 2 disc brakes surface are getting rusty after 7 months. IS it ok to just leave it as it is? Is there any way to prevent it from getting rusty? Quite scary looking.

My car onli 1 mth ++ but mi disc brake has small patches of rust on it... I walked ard the mscp and realised alot of SD_cars also have tis problem... Any suggestions? :)

I got my new car not long ago. Every morning, I realise the disc brase area got rusty. Any idea why? Is this normal? Any harm to the car?

Ok. Notice that the round steel plates (dunno the proper name) behind the rims of the front wheels has turned yellowish. Think there is a layer of rust on them. But the funny thing is that the back portions are still black... Any explanation or concern for this? How can I remove or prevent this from happening? BTW, I drive a Pug 206. Thanks in advance...
