Any bros here tried connecting small solar panels (18v) like 4W or so to trickle charge your battery especially if you seldom drives? Do you connect the solar panel directly to battery with the wires to car still connected? What voltage/wattage solar panel you you use? When your car starts, will the alternator power kill the solar panel if you leave it there?

Just checking if anyone is facing the same issue The forum cant seem to load up properly when i use my ipad. The screen is slow in loading and the almost comes to a halt Moreover it keeps on saying that there is a problem with the webpage and keeps reloading? Perhaps its time i retire

According to a report by The Siberian Times, the head of Russian Railways is asking the government to seriously consider his project dubbed the Trans-Eurasian Belt Development, the first modern transportation corridor that would link up the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. Plans call for the construction of a new high-speed railway and the development of major roads that would span the length of Russia, link up with existing transportation networks in Europe and Asia – and cross the Bering Strait. A network that would run about 20,000km in length. The proposal was presented at a meeting of the Russian Academy of Science and was touted, not only as a major transportation route, but as a means to create new cities and jobs in parts of Russia and Siberia that are woefully underdeveloped, and experience the haemorrhaging of young talent who leave the region for better opportunities abroad. The new network could also be used to build pipelines for oil and gas as well as infrastructure for electricity and water supplies, said Russian Railways head Vladimir Yakunin. The lofty proposal, however, comes with an equally sky-high price tag that could be trillions of dollars. Hi ALL IT Gurus My fibre broadband modem n D-Link router are installed in main hall.. all set up by my ISP last night. Andriod mobile devices n tablet received signal at full bar EVEN IN ALL BEDROOMS. Very Fast connection. However for my studyroom desktop, i only receive ONE BAR of wireless signal. I try to connect, key in e usual security password..it say 'windows does not connect to internet'. Thinking that bedroom signal could be weak thus unable to connect internet. BUT my mobile devices/tablet ARE STILL receiving full bar signal even placed next to my desktop. could it be my wireless lan card in my desktop (2-3yrs old HP Presario Windows 7) are not 100% compatible to fibre network, WLAN card failing suddenly or some configuration has nt done properly? Any good advise by the IT experts?

I know that when jump start a car, or charge a battery without disconnecting the battery from the car, the positive should be connect to the positive terminal at the battery but negative should be connected to the chasis instead. Why isnt the negative not connected directly to the negative terminal instead? anyone care to explain?? -

I know it is dumb easy, but really, this really made me headache because I simply cannot get it connect to the net at all. I open my Wireless Network Connection, scan for my network then double click on it. Instead of prompting me to key in the password, it get it connected. But, stated "Validating Identity" And shown: Windows was unable to find a cert to log u on to the network "XXX " I went Google for this cause and it stated: "Click on the Authentication tab, and then clear the box for "Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network." (The box should be empty.)" But, I still cannot get into the net despite doing that. Can anyone care to help? I am using Win XP.

My frens told me over supper an hour ago that during last GE and this GE, he and many others experienced HP calls not getting thru even though signal strength was strong.... This also happened to me last nite at WP's Serangoon Stadium rally..... It doesnt sound like an coincident......... has any bro experienced the same what are the solutins?? Many thanks

My company van's warranty is over n i do not wish to send it back to the authorised agent for its too expensive n i find their efficiency to b in doubt.... Do u guys haf any recommendation? Thanks

Dear bros, Does anyone of u know of any workshop who can repair air con for ford transit connect (Van)? The van air con has not been working well as it is cool when its on the move n there's no cold air when is stationery. Further checks wif agent n wat they feedback is compressor is not working fine. so does any bros here haf any idea if there's any other workshop who can repair air con for ford transit connect? Hi, would like some solutions for the following: 1. Using stock HU directly powering front & rear speakers. 2. HU has RCA preouts for front & rear speakers only (no sub preout). Have an active sub which i would like to add in. Since the HU does not have sub pre-out, can i use either front or rear RCA preouts for connection to the active sub? Thanks.

Any iTunes users here can help? I am not able to connect to iTunes Store any more. The message I get is "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. A secure network connection could not be established" I have tried whatever I could, including re installing iTunes and turning off firewall and disabling antivirus, but is just cannot work.....

Hi all, I got a notebook which I installed Windows XP. The notebook model is Compaq Presario A900 series with exact model no. A906TU. After much searching, I managed to get hold of all the drivers required for XP. For the wireless adapter ... the installed driver is this "Atheros AR5006X Wireless Network Adapter". I have also install XP Service Pack 3. Now ... I am using a Linksys wireless router BEFW11S4 .... I configured it for "WPA Pre-Shared Key". No matter what I do, I just can't connect it to the network. I tried setting the router to "Unsecured" and Yes ... it could connects. It could also connects to other "Unsecured" network which it detects in the area. I got another notebook .... the wireless is InterPro .... it is also running XP and it could connect to the wireless with the same security settings. So just wondering anyone here could help me out here?

Hi bro, Hope you guys can help me out. My car comes with PIONEER audio system which have an cable to connect to IPOD player. Unfortunately, i do not have a IPOD and infact is using CREATIVE V PLUS (also mp3 player). The IPOD connect cable is flat in the head wherelse CREATIVE V PLUS is using our normal mini USB cable. Is there any adaptor or what which i can use to connect my CREATIVE to my car audio. Pls advise THANKS -
Hello Guys, I've come across couple of guys who connects harddisk to their I.C.E. My question is, how to you use your headunit to control the files in the harddisk? From what I know, you need to install a driver to access the drive, since our HU is not an OS, how to control? Any bros had done it or knowledge, any sharing is very much appreciated. not sure if this is under ICE... related. just got myself a 2nd hand 956 and added the ipod adaptor. been facing this problem with my ipod... the HU only reads 96 songs out of my hundreds and these 96 songs appear under "Disk 1". I can't seem to find any other "disc" in the ipod. The funny thing is that these 96 songs have never been preselected by me to be in any playlist before... how did these songs get "selected"? I'm now thinking it could be due to the ipod as I think when i hook up my ipod with my home stereo using the DLO Homedock, the same 96 songs are the default playlist... need to go back and check. On the home stereo, i can at least navigate with the ipod. But with the ipod adaptor, i can only do so on the 956... i'm stuck with that 96 songs!!?? Any expert views on this? Is this an (known?) iPod problem?

Hi all, Anyone can advise how to connect the AUX IN behind the head unit (Sony F7710)? dunno how to connect a audio cable to the inside of my car so that i can plug in my Mp3 player. dunno how to take out the head unit leh.. dunno hw to run the cable... I'd tried using FM transmitter to play my mp3 but veri poor reception when go underground tunnel.

Hi all, im very new to ICE. Currently i've a pioneer HU 45W X 4 with 2 front speaker and 2 tweeters on my car. However, i think the tweeters are not connected as i cant hear any music from it. I've 2x 2channels crossover device with me. The previous owner has a very 'solid' audio system but when he sold the car to me, i was only given a very basic system. How do i connect them.... Wanted to learn more about ICE and like to learn the basic connection of a car audio.. thank in advance...
