Cpl Ng (left) and Sgt Fadli were manning a roadblock in July when they were offered a $3,000 bribe by a driver who failed a breathalyser test. Traffic police officers Sergeant Fadli Shaifuddin Mohamed Sani and Corporal Ng Ching Heng were conducting a road block along Jurong Road in July this year, when they stopped a female driver who was suspected of drink-driving. After she failed a breathalyser test, she offered the officers $3,000 as a bribe and begged them to let her go. The two refused her offer and took the 38-year-old woman back to the Traffic Police headquarters for a second breathalyser test. "We had no second thoughts," said Sgt Fadli, who has been a traffic police officer for three years. Daniel Rushing probably won’t be eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts in his car any more. The 64-year-old was arrested on drug charges when Orlando police officers spotted four tiny flakes of glaze on his floorboard and thought they were pieces of crystal methamphetamine, The Orlando Sentinel reports. Cpl. Shelby Riggs-Hopkins wrote in an arrest report that during a traffic stop on 11 December she noticed the flakes on the floorboard. Two roadside drug tests were positive for the illegal substance and Rushing was arrested. But a state crime laboratory test cleared him several weeks later. “It was incredible,” Rushing said. “It feels scary when you haven’t done anything wrong and get arrested ... Then, he drove to a convenience store to pick up a friend who needed a ride home. Riggs-Hopkins said she was staking out the area for drug activity. Rushing told her he had a concealed weapons permit, according to an arrest report. She asked him to step out of his car and noticed a “rock like substance” on the floorboard. “I recognized through my eleven years of training and experience as a law enforcement officer the substance to be some sort of narcotic,” she wrote. Rushing agreed to a vehicle search. “I didn’t have anything to hide,” he said. “I’ll never let anyone search my car again.” Riggs-Hopkins and other officers spotted three other pieces of the substance. “I kept telling them, ‘That’s ... glaze from a doughnut,” Rushing said. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine with a firearm and spent 10 hours in jail before being released on bond. The Florida’s law enforcement department told the newspaper that an analyst in its Orlando crime lab did not try to identify what police found in the car, only to determine whether it was an illegal drug. They determined it was not and three days after Rushing’s arrest the state attorney’s office dropped the charges. Rushing, who retired after 25 years as an Orlando parks department employee, told the newspaper he had hired a lawyer and plans to sue the city because he was arrested “for no reason at all”. Orlando police said in a statement that the arrest was lawful.

M'sian undergrad claims cops raped her after catching her having sex in car Quote: Two cops were arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping and blackmailing a 19-year-old university student, Malaysian police said. The teen lodged a report on Saturday, claiming the duo took advantage of her after catching her and her boyfriend having sex in a car on Jan 26. Assistant Commissioner Azmi Abu Kassif said the victim claimed she was made to get into the police vehicle with one officer. The other officer got into her boyfriend's car. "The victim claimed that while in the police car, the officer had asked her to give him RM2,000 (S$745) to let her go. "The victim agreed and the officer dropped her and her boyfriend by the roadside. She said the officers then took down her contact details," he said. Raped her in toilet The student said she received a call later that day from the one of the officers who demanded that she pay up. ACP Azmi said the girl alleged that the officer picked her up from her hostel, drove her to a nearby mall and forced her to perform oral sex on him in his car. "She said he later took her to a toilet in the mall and raped her. He said if she didn’t do as he asked, he would arrest her." According to the victim’s report, the officer didn’t stop there. A Singaporean businessman led police on a 20km car chase when he tried to flee after failing to bribe them on Sunday. In the 11.30pm incident, the 50-year old suspect, driving a Mercedes Benz, was headed to Singapore when he tried to cut the vehicle queue at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine complex (CIQ), obstructing other vehicles in the process. Two police traffic officers on duty at the CIQ complex then tried to take him to the nearest police station. However, the man then got agitated and refused to cooperate, and offered a RM550 (S$213) bribe to Lance Corporal Awang Mohd Massahdi Awang Abunawas and Lance Corporal Mashri Sedek, said the officers. Not sure if this incident really happened during the recent Bersih 3.0 demonstration in KL or somewhere else but the many dark uniformed security personnel were rather brutal against the defenseless guy in purple. They were punching, kicking and using cane to whack the living daylights out of the purple shirted bloke. He wonders if such violent acts from just over the Causeway could ever happen here. The incident is believed to have occurred during the Bersih 3.0 demonstrations that took place on Apr 28 in Kuala Lumpur. Thousands of people had gathered near Merdeka Square to challenge electoral rules in light of upcoming elections in Malaysia. Another video showing a police car losing control and ramming into a crowd of demonstrators also surfaced on the internet earlier. A 39-YEAR-OLD auxiliary police officer was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head in the toilet of a building in Jurong on Monday afternoon. Lee Kong Beng, a police constable with Aetos, did not show any sign of distress during the course of work, said a spokesman from the security company. The constable, who was married with a son, has been working with Aetos for about two years and was attached to Tuas checkpoint. Police are investigating the death and do not suspect foul play.

Aziz Osman, 49, is on 10 charges of prejudicial conduct. In one charge, he is accused of deploying five traffic policemen to form a wedding convoy while on duty. The station inspector allegedly directed his subordinates to escort the regional manager of Pirelli Asia, Mr John Hooi Tuck Sung, to the Botanic Gardens for his wedding ceremony, and then to falsify records on their patrol log sheets in 2004. A video, suspected to be that of the traffic police wedding convoy has been circulating on the Internet, according to Shin Min Daily. The 45-second clip shows uniformed men on motorcycles surrounding a couple on a large motorcycle. Dressed all in black, the couple ride into their outdoor wedding venue to applause. The men appear to be wearing uniforms similar to those of the traffic police, and turned on their sirens throughout the journey. If convicted, he can be fined up to $500 and/or jailed up to three months. Hashim Kamari, 48, is accused of corruptly accepting an $83 discount from Mr Lim Sun Kwang when he bought a Metzeler tyre in June 2004 in return for recommending his Traffic Police Department to buy tyres from JR Pte Ltd. As he is charged with corruption, he can be fined up to $100,000 and/or jailed up to five years. Both officers also allegedly went on a junket which included a free air ticket, meals and accommodation for a promotional event of Pirelli's tyres in Taiwan in April 2004. Hashim has been released on bail of $500 but his passport has been impounded. From TNP 12/18 edition - Ang Mo Kio Man Tells Cops : You Can't Park Here Summary : Mr Ong and his wife, Marilyn found a police car blocking a narrow access lane to a rain shelter decided to act against the policemen. Mr Ong began taking photos of the patrol car while the wife went about to track the policemen. The couple were returning to their residence in Palm View, AMK. The wife found the policemen talking to a man in a coffeeshop. She proceed to tell the policemen that their patrol car was blocking the lane. The 3 then walked back to the patrol car when the policemen found Mr Ong taking pictures of the police car - 'in case anything goes wrong'. That was when the argument ensued. The policemen were explaining that they were attending a case - that of a sleeping drunkard. The policemen then further explained that there was a exception for authorised vehicles to park there. It was at this point of time that Mr Ong was cited for parking -behind the police car - in a no-parking zone. Apparently Mr Ong did not read the sign - No Parking, Except Police, Ambulance and Authorised Vehicles. Mr Ong claimed 'not aware of the sign' because they were too small to read. Mr Ong parked there because he felt it would be too hazardous to back out because of the heavy rain and reduced visibility. The summon reads a fine of $120 and 3-point demerit. Reported in today New Paper (29/08/07) Quote: "Four MY Policemen had been suspended for their alleged assault on an Indon karate referee last Friday. No reason were given for the assault. The referee had to be hospitalised after been assaulted by the four policemen. Indon officials had reacted angrily to the incident. Indo Prresident said that the alleged attackers should be punished. But Bernama quoted him saying that nobody can force MY to apologise." Don't the policemen have better things to do?

RED ALERT!!!!!! Reports made after couple's Car is repossessed - by firm they had not heard of. Summary Couple bought a Suzuki swift from P.I., car was repossessed by unknown credit company. Credit company claims that P.I. originally sold the car to them, not to the couple P.I. turns out to be a $2 company!!!! LTA say it could not prevent someone from "Stealing a car and selling it as his." Potential buyers beware, check your P.I. background b4 signing the dotted line. What has become of our local motoring scene????

Hi guys, got this very fxxxked experience just happen to me. I drove up to KL in a ORIX rental car 2 months back, was being caught by speed trap and the cop demand 100 RM to close his fxxxking eye. Try to bargain but he gave a F-up face, LL paid 100 RM. Guess what, ORIX called me yesterday that theres a fine from Malaysian TP !!!! Nah Bay, i told the orix fella that i already paid to close one eye, then that fella told me it happens all the time, ppl paid the kopi money then still get fine !!!! Blood Suckers , 150 RM Fine ok !!!! Hope The new Malaysian PM can clean up these bxxxxxds !!!! NAH BAY SI BEH TOO LANNN MAN !!! [mad] -

Italy's state police presented a sleek new addition Friday: a Lamborghini Gallardo, with a top speed of 309 kph (192 mph). The car is ready for service, bedecked with a siren, painted blue-and-white, and the word "POLIZIA" -- "police" -- stenciled on the side. Police showed it off at an anniversary celebration in Rome on Friday. They said the Lamborghini will be used on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway in southern Italy, for emergencies and to transport organs for transplant. Lamborghini, which is owned by Volkswagen and based near Bologna in northern Italy, donated the car. The six-speed, two-door luxury vehicle promises the ability to go from zero to 100 kph (60 mph) in four seconds, and has a list price of US$165,000 (euro145,180 in Europe).
