  1. Crystal Coat: Why you should Coat instead of Wax? Paint protection systems (PPS) such as ceramic coating/glass coating are becoming increasing popular with users due to various reasons. Time Saving Better Protective properties than Wax Achieve a high standard of gloss 1.Time Saving With the traditional method of applying wax, there are multiple steps involved. Firstly, your car has to be washed with a car shampoo and dried completely. Next, a thin layer of compound or paste wax must be applied on the paintwork. After which, wait for the wax to harden before buffing off. However, with a PPS coat, you do not need to wait before buffing off which saves a huge amount of time and effort in detailing your car. 2. Better Protective Properties than Wax Another difference of Coat Vs Wax will be the level of protection that it provides. While wax may have a higher gloss unit especially if a high quality wax is used, it only gives the car a deep shine without protecting the paintwork against water marks, UV rays or Acid Rain. Also, PPS when applied frequently, causes the coat to multiply, thus extending its longevity. 3. Achieve a high standard of gloss For the effort to result ratio, there can be no doubt that using a coating will result in a more than satisfactory result in gloss for your car, furthermore, the ease of maintenance means that simple stains can be remove by just using water! This is because the layer of coat protects the stains from penetrating the core layer of the paintwork. Why spend hundreds of dollars on Paint Protection Systems (PPS) when you can DIY yourself at a fraction of the cost? Try Bullsone Crystal Coat today at 25% off your first bottle! 2. Daniel Rushing probably won’t be eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts in his car any more. The 64-year-old was arrested on drug charges when Orlando police officers spotted four tiny flakes of glaze on his floorboard and thought they were pieces of crystal methamphetamine, The Orlando Sentinel reports. Cpl. Shelby Riggs-Hopkins wrote in an arrest report that during a traffic stop on 11 December she noticed the flakes on the floorboard. Two roadside drug tests were positive for the illegal substance and Rushing was arrested. But a state crime laboratory test cleared him several weeks later. “It was incredible,” Rushing said. “It feels scary when you haven’t done anything wrong and get arrested ... It’s just a terrible feeling.” Chelsea Manning faces solitary confinement and charges after suicide attempt Read more It started on a Friday afternoon when Rushing dropped off a neighbor at a hospital for a weekly chemotherapy session. Then, he drove to a convenience store to pick up a friend who needed a ride home. Riggs-Hopkins said she was staking out the area for drug activity. Rushing told her he had a concealed weapons permit, according to an arrest report. She asked him to step out of his car and noticed a “rock like substance” on the floorboard. “I recognized through my eleven years of training and experience as a law enforcement officer the substance to be some sort of narcotic,” she wrote. Rushing agreed to a vehicle search. “I didn’t have anything to hide,” he said. “I’ll never let anyone search my car again.” Riggs-Hopkins and other officers spotted three other pieces of the substance. “I kept telling them, ‘That’s ... glaze from a doughnut,” Rushing said. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine with a firearm and spent 10 hours in jail before being released on bond. The Florida’s law enforcement department told the newspaper that an analyst in its Orlando crime lab did not try to identify what police found in the car, only to determine whether it was an illegal drug. They determined it was not and three days after Rushing’s arrest the state attorney’s office dropped the charges. Rushing, who retired after 25 years as an Orlando parks department employee, told the newspaper he had hired a lawyer and plans to sue the city because he was arrested “for no reason at all”. Orlando police said in a statement that the arrest was lawful.

  4. Home-grown chain Crystal Jade will soon be running its restaurants with a dash of French flair, thanks to a new ownership structure on the menu. The company is being taken over by Paris-based luxury group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton's private equity arm, which has been on a buying spree over the past few months. L Capital Asia has signed a deal to buy "over 90 per cent" of Crystal Jade Group for an undisclosed sum, managing director Christina Teo told The Straits Times earlier this week. "It is a household brand that resonates with many people. We think we can add value," she said. Sources told The Straits Times that the investment was around US$100 million (S$126 million). Ms Teo said L Capital invested in Crystal Jade out of a US$1 billion fund incepted this year, and would continue to look out for other deals in Singapore. The fusion between the two could go beyond the financials. Crystal Jade will be able to tap LVMH's wine and spirits group to expand its offerings, Ms Teo said. That group includes premium labels such as Moet & Chandon champagne and Belvedere vodka. LVMH's "good relationships with landlords" can also help Crystal Jade secure prime spots for its outlets, she added. Crystal Jade, which opened its first restaurant at the former Cairnhill Hotel in 1991, now has 47 outlets in Singapore and 82 overseas, and pulled in close to $250 million in sales last year. L Capital's backing would open doors for the firm and help it expand faster, Crystal Jade chairman and chief executive Ip Yiu Tung told The Straits Times. Crystal Jade has carved out a foothold in markets like Indonesia and India, and has set its sights on places as far as the Middle East and Europe, he said. It plans to open 18 restaurants this year. A 20,000 sq ft San Francisco eatery that can seat more than 400 is expected to open in August, he said. The Hong Konger, who became a Singapore permanent resident in 2008, said he was retaining only a "very small" portion of his stake in the company, mainly as he wants to hand over the reins. "I am already 65 years old, and my daughter has no interest in taking over. It was time to pass it on to someone capable of bringing the business to another level," he said. "We are still a one-man company, but would like to change to being a corporate-managed company so that we can go further." He plans to stay at the helm for one or two more years before possibly being an adviser or brand ambassador for the company. He and Ms Teo said a public listing for Crystal Jade could be on the cards. L Capital bought a controlling stake in Singapore club Ku De Ta earlier this year. It also owns part of Australian food outfit Jones the Grocer and Singapore shoe brand Charles & Keith. 6. SINGAPORE - The Government is studying ways, including looking at the experiences of other countries, to deter frequent gamblers from visiting the casinos. It will also "soon" amend the Casino Control (Advertising) Regulations to make it "crystal clear to both casinos that they cannot target the domestic market", Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports Chan Chun Sing said yesterday. Mr Chan added that as of Oct 31, there were more than 26,000 self-exclusion orders issued to foreigners. He was responding to questions tabled by Nee Soon GRC MP Lee Bee Wah. In a written reply, Mr Chan said: "The regulations will also be widened to cover not only advertisements but any promotion of the casinos, which should prevent incidents like the heartland shuttle buses. We will make further announcements in due course." Noting the difference between frequent gamblers and impulsive gamblers, Mr Chan reiterated his ministry's concern on the former group. Mr Chan said that in Holland, for example, the authorities look out for frequent gamblers and interview them. Said Mr Chan: "Depending on their assessment, they may subsequently limit the patron's visits to the casinos or even exclude them. Depending on our assessment of the problem, we may consider different measures to deter frequent gamblers. What we put in place eventually, if any, will have to suit our local context and meet our needs and situation." Ms Lee also asked if the Government planned to raise the casino levy for Singaporeans in an effort to discourage gambling. Mr Chan reiterated that the S$100 entry levy is to "signal that gambling is an expense and not a means to make a living, and to discourage casual and impulse gambling". He added: "Some believe that a higher levy will be a more effective deterrence. Others worry that increasing the levy will only cause Singaporean visitors to intensify their gambling so as to 'max out' the upfront cost of the entry levy. The jury is still out as to which is the likely behaviour of Singaporeans if we raise the levy." On Ms Lee's suggestion to impose an casino entry levy on foreigners as well, Mr Chan said the ministry was focusing on a "targeted approach of combining education and casino exclusions". He added: "Such an approach also emphasises individual responsibility. For an individual, self-exclusion can be a much more effective upstream safeguard against problem gambling than even a downstream monetary quantum." The National Council on Problem Gambling will continue to work with the Ministry of Manpower and employers to advise foreign workers to apply for self-exclusion, Mr Chan said. Mr Chan stressed that the safeguards - while stringent - for foreigners and Singaporeans "should not and cannot replace individual responsibility". "Individuals must make the correct decision to gamble responsibly. In our Asian context, we also encourage families to play their part in helping their family members to do what is right," he said. http://www.todayonline.com/Hotnews/EDC1111...domestic-market

  8. Hi, Forward to me by my friend and wish to share with all. We might not get a chance to visit the place in Chihuahua, Mexico but anyway, here are some pictures for your pleasant viewing. "The Naica Mine of Chihuahua, Mexico, is a working mine that is known for its extraordinary crystals. Naica is a lead, zinc and silver mine in which large voids have been found, containing crystals of selenite (gypsum) as large as 4 feet in diameter and 50 feet long. The chamber holding these crystals is known as the Crystal Cave of Giants, and is approximately 1000 feet down in the limestone host rock of the mine. The crystals were formed by hydrothermal fluids emanating from the magma chambers below. The cavern was discovered while the miners were drilling through the Naica fault, which they were worried would flood the mine. The Cave of Swords is another chamber in the Naica Mine, containing similar large crystals." Cheers

  10. Had a very good sale service by the staff in Autobacs on Wed. Changed my Sunny's 2 main light buld to Philips Crystal Vision which was recommended by the staff as one of the best yellow light (for good rain penetration and also I don't like to blind others with white lights). Installation was also done there at just extra 2 bucks. New bulb was indeed much much better than the original ones. No problem during the past two days....BUT.... When I was in the MSCP, I notice one the wall of my light, that instead of having a completely straight and horizontal light image, I can see something light 2 "eye-brow" effet on the left side on the wall. Hope some of you can advise me if this is normal...image almost look like that on the wall from drive point of view...never notice before with the originals cos maybe they are not bright enough .. .. ... ... .... .... .............................................................
