I guess most people are not very familiar with this. More signs should be in place.

How about when the road into the roundabout is 2 lanes, but all the exits of the roundabout are 1 Lane?

30 years ago, touch wood...

My one and only rear ending a car accident happened in Newton Circle Round About.

Malaysia registered car plate driver hesitated to turn out towards Bukit Timah Road exiting, he did a emergency braked and stopped at middle lane, I couldn't avoid in time and rammed into his car.

Apologized sincerely and said very sorry to him, he accepted his mistakes partially for stopping suddenly, then we left with own damage repairs amicably.

...and he becomes your that 吃得很开的联邦友人?

Most BMW's signal light not functional. Sorry i can't resist. But i must say not all.

Agreed...not all.

Once I was in the middle of a three bimmer convoy joining mce from a slip road. I was the only one who signalled the intent to join the main traffic. The two who sandwiched me just sped off without signalling.

Maybe, just maybe, I'm the lucky one with a working signal stalk.

Is it cheaper to buy BMWs without signal lights?  Perhaps most BMWs owners are trying to save a few bucks here and there.

Good thing BMW doesn't bother with those fanciful "running" signal lights like Audi.  It would be a complete waste of R&D money.

Very good picture. Explains everthing.. Take note, outermost lane, MUST exit on  the very next exit, so that the cars in middle ring also can exit together with you.

yup and also be aware there are (many) other road users that do not share this understanding, so drive with two eyes open.

not sure if this is covered in driving test now. I don't recall it was tested during my time.

Actually it's depends on your size. Saw a sbs bus doing this at amber circle. It was making at u turn at the roundabout and it was on the outer lane all the time. I guess you can't really blame the double decker bus as going on the inside lane of the roundabout needs it to keep changing lanes.

While in theory this works, in reality it does not. imagine car C will to keep to the inner lane all the time, he will not be able to exit C by the time it reaches there as he would be blocked by other cars. Car C should instead, move to middle lane after exit A and move towards outter lane after exit B. Go try the circle of Tuas roa dand AYE intersection during peak hours , one would know this paper theory would not work. Edited by Ct3833

I do see lot of other makes also joining this race with BMWs. Soon it will be Signal-less Singapore!

in the ideal world its should be like this.

but i think non of singapore roundabout work this way.

for example, alot of car A alway chose not to exit @A. they want to exit @C

according to the diagram,

car A have to give way to let car B exit @ B.

but if A didnt give way and it happen that front left of car B hit right side of car A

car B will still lose out in insurance claim, even though the diagram show he have right of way.

How many people on the roads are following to this?? Always got jokers in lane B cut into lane A abruptly and try to exit the roundabout. That day, a delivery van cut into my lane A from lane B and exit the roundabout, almost crashing into my car. Luckily is horn him and slow down quite fast. Horn him already but he continues his way like nothing happened.
