Don't get me wrong bro..

I loved the leather, the soft touch materials, the snug fit of the Lexus, the clock centrepiece. I had trouble pulling myself away..

Nice Japanese lady at the door too ;)

Bros.....I had also used to think why should I be paying more for an L instead of T as they are the same company.

Besides the attention I get and the wows from others. My materialistic father also now treat me so nice like my brother(but I am really upset over this) cos I don't see that he cares when I had the T.

Finally, the real difference is the clear cut higher end interior which you sit in and enjoy it more. At the same time, all the sound proof and the make is so different......after the purchase, I told myself that it is something that you enjoy in it and will not easily say you wanna change feeling........just to share it out.

Other drivers are reporting better figures though, like 9+ to 10.

The ballpark should be about there ba :)

After so many years of calculation and observing, I think it is very crucial on where and how you drive it for any cars. If you are up and down a multi storey carpark, the consumption also goes up. Let alone on the ECP/AYE/SLE/CTE......compare to in and out of the CBD.

I don't know why, but I feel rather sad to hear this bro..

I would tell my friend the Harrier will suffice..

But she will also examine the other options before she decides.. she wasn't too happy with the take it or leave it experience.

Initially I expect actual FC could be 11 though on paper it's 13... But after reading all feedbacl here it seems I am bit optimistic? Sianz lah...

Is it retractable? Can be kept under the boot floor when not required?

My SE says it will be included. They removed it from the showroom cars.

Don't worry bro.....it was sad, everyone has ups and downs....I handle it well

Afterall, it will not be a Lee saga [:p]

Let your friend decide, everyone has their choice we might not understand.

I didn't get to see it.  And I didn't notice it in the test drive red Harrier Turbo.

Maybe @Xlack can answer since he has seen it.

There is original floor mat. But I just thinking if shd get another one overlay on it so as to protect the stock mat... Is it normal to do this ?

Driving an NX for close to 2 yrs. 50% highway on 18in will only get u FC of 9. Driving on normal mode all the way(never tried the ECO setting)

as i always say... buy the car what what it is, not because of the sales person. don't let a 30min bad encounter spoil the decision. So what if they give you a good service for 30min and you have to live with a shitty car for at least a few years.

Gosh.. quite disappointed to hear this.. seem like I need to lower my expectation further.. if can achieve an average 10 will be happy enuf.. it gonna sucking lot of petrol despite a complete and comfortable car..

Agreed. What i think of the SE is sorta irrelevant.

a 1.6L on CVT in a 1.2 ton car can only get 14-15km/L

a 2.0L NA high compression engine in a 1.4-1.5ton sedan can only get 12 at best (that's with start stop tech)

So 10km/L for a 2L turbo on 6AT in a 1.6+ ton SUV is already good liao lah.

I initially had your kind of mentality during my early days of car ownership, replace or overlay 3M car mats in attempt to protect the original mats.........

Then I realized that at the end of the day, when you sell your car, no dealers or buyers will give you even an extra $50 for an almost brand new set of original car mat.  And yet with the almost new original car mat, it becomes a selling point for the dealer.

So what you did only serves to benefit the next owner or dealer.

These days, when I get my new car, I just use the original car mat as it is till it is totally worn and just get replacement when I cannot stand it anymore. Unless the original car mat do not provide adequate coverage for easy cleaning (ie. too small resulting in the dirt from your shoes dropping onto the car floor itself), then get a custom fit 3M type for ease of maintance.

protect the original mat? forget it.

Yeah, that's why I bought my Corolla, that was despite the rep rather than because of him and he knew it!

Luckily it was a nice Jap car, no worries for all six years that I bought it..

lol u guys wearing cowboy boots with spurs on your heels?

I find original mats last long with normal wear and tear. those 3m car mats are quite crappy. I'd rather not use them.

LOL, I prefer the original mats if they are decent. Will try to use them if they are well fitting and easy to maintain.

Problem is some original mats are machiam 1 size smaller, leaving a significant gap around the edges that allow dirt and debris to fall to the edges and corners. That made it extra effort to remove the mats and still have to vacuum these debris trapped under the mats or in the corners. A well custom fit car mat will cover all exposed surfaces and thus, I just need to remove them one by one, flip and flap it to remove the dirt before reinstalling them, save the lazy me on vacuuming the floor as frequently.
