3M car mats are worth the money. They are much better than knockoff AAA or 3A car mats.

The advantage is they hide dirt very well and they are easy to clean.

The stock mats are usually carpet material and it can get rather unsightly when it's wet + mud + sand etc. Not so easy to clean too.

The Lexus one I have is so thick and "furry", and so pretty that I can't bear to use it.

So I took them off and replaced with the FOC 3A car mats given to me by my SE.

Maybe I can sell the stock mats on Carousell next time lol

What an idea........I got one extra set of stock mats for my old camry but nobody wants to buy it in Carousell leh.

Got 2 nice Lexus leather key pouch for the remote. But realized they do give one same design like my Goldlion leather case for remote printed with the Lexus logo. So I got the one I bought sold off in Carousell.

Do you guys mean keep original mat and replace with 3M or to layer on? If double layer isn't it too thick. Will have floats feel and might obstruct the pedals

IMO, harrier TC at 150k is a good buy over the NA harrier which the PI are bringing in..

but at 150k, there are a lot more options for a 2L TC....(eg S60 t5, q50, mondeo wagon..)

PI dropping price to below 130k now for NA harrier (disregarding the many versions they have)..

I hate 3A mats.

Simi is 3A mat?

Anyway I hate all these mats in cars. They look hideous.

I think is does not matter, I always have the 3M lay over the stock mat. It does not really obstruct the pedal at all.

It's 3M look alike mats........they got different grades. Great to trap dirt and wash easily.

Is it retractable? Can be kept under the boot floor when not required?

ya of course it is retractable. It's like a roller blind, you pull at it and it rolls up nicely.

Whether it can be kept under the boot floor that one I'm not sure. There are several empty compartments below the boot floor but I don't think there is one cutout nicely for the tonneau cover. Anyway why would you want to put the whole thing aside, just have it fully retracted can already.

lol u guys wearing cowboy boots with spurs on your heels?

I find original mats last long with normal wear and tear. those 3m car mats are quite crappy. I'd rather not use them.

my chiong 3M mats  had a hole through (literally a through hole) around the area i pivot my right foot after a couple of years. Bought the original 3M to replace. While the rubber around the same area was worn off, there are no holes after 6 years. The original mats are really good. The mats are easily to wash or clean than the standard car mats.

Real 3M mats are lasting. Mine lasted 10 years still not torn or anything. Only a bit wear out where I pivot my right foot.

same happened to my 3A mats after 2-3 years. threw away. My toyota mats still no issue when i traded the car in at 6.5 years.

I didn't know where really had original 3M mats to replace.

This is first time I got 3A from my SE. Now for only one month plus only. I told my SE to ensure it is the top grade one. But the driver side's custom cutting seems small to me, I like more overlap to ensure dust and dirt don't get on the original one.

Anyway, with my low utility, let me see how long and how good it is.

I've got FOC 3A mats on top of velour(?) OEM(?) mats in my car, the 3A mats keep sliding around, especially in my rear left seat, footwell, always exposes the velour mats which are obviously much harder to clean.

I'm trying my most to keep the 3A mats in place so any debris and dirt gets on those wire mats instead because wire mats are inherently easier to clean.

But honestly I am looking for OEM rubber mats, the kind with those fluid channels and reservoirs. Those are the sturdiest and easiest to clean imo, even if they look more ... eh, hardworking?
