It reflects the current state of the government - all talk only.  Introduce rules but incapable or unwilling to enforce.  Like car loan caps. No Smoking at various places.  Speed cap on electric bike/scooter is just another one.

Perhaps Singapore needs its (legal) version of Duterte....

Please....to all drivers.

If you see bicycle/e-scoot/e-bike that cycle across zebra crossing or traffic junction, give them a LOUD Horn to ffxk-off.

i am always very mean to all these reckless idiots.

I will HONK those who J walk looking at their mobile phones . . make them jump out of their skin!! [laugh]

Maybe they think if you don't siam I will run you down.

So I don't take a chance in case they really think

like that. Just like the bus in the wrong lane kept

going until he hit a motorbike who stopped and the

biker had to dive one side and the bus kept going

over his motorbike.

:D

The bus driver could be from China, driving direction is different from Singapore. Either way, hope the rider is ok. Really bad luck .

To me, the problem is obvious, there is not enough electric bicycles and personal mobility devices on the road. Let me explain.

Why do cars get into accidents with each other? Because they are so close to each other, there is a good chance a misjudgment will lead to an accident. Many cars in Singapore, so bumper to bumper.

How come no reported electric bicycles and personal mobility devices colliding yet? Because not enough of them. So far, it is invariably those bicycles/devices vs pedestrian, so they just bully.

Wait till there is so many of them around, all determined to get their way, then we will start getting nasty collisions. Then those people will wake up.

So the policy should be to make them (to use the favourite government term) affordable to even more people, especially those who are sick of living.

The Advisory Panel seriously should re-look in their recommendation of e-scooter being allowed on pedestrian mall. The damage done can cause death or serious injuries.

Take a walk, do more exercises. Or daily job of sitting in the office is already killing you. Don't take away the last opportunity for some physical activities when you do your errands and going to the park.
