Would it not make sense for TP LTA or even the police post to be dispatch if the cyclists violation becomes hostile due to the “entitlement “ attitude on the road. At least the message will cascade to the larger audience that the authorities do get involved if the cyclists do not behaved .

after all we want the same thing as the cyclists community and that is safe passages thru out the journey

You mean PCN? Cannot train at speeds above 25kmh. For a gold medal track cyclist to be competitive, they are going at 50-60kmh easy in the velodrome, thus the rationale of the motorpacing training. 

Or u mean the cycling lane at Tanah Merah Coastal Road? That means motorpacing training not possible, since a motor bike isn't allowed into this lane. 

I guess he stay off the roads better la, so as not to allow anyone to find fault with his training. Forget about winning medals for SG. Maybe wait for SG's velodrome to be build at Kallang by 2025, maybe now extended due to Covid.

The keyword is "could" but they never penalize them.

Every time they have "enforcement", they catch cyclists on expressways. Can imagine how rampant that is. None of them give a f to the law. The only way is to give them some of them the max sentence to deter the rest. No point just tok and tok.

I only concern whether in single file or 2 abreast. 

Regardless of how many lanes that they are cycling on, cyclist are inevitably hogging the whole lane while cycling abreast. This need to be addressed.

Velodrome is mainly for speed trial. 

Goh is riding for tour de something.... So likely will be training on road with actual wind in the face conditions.

And eduction, unfortunately, has proven not to work. Just like littering problem, unapproved PMD causing fires etc. Most of us here only scared of big stick. A good example is mask wearing. After some trash permit kena revoked, then all guai guai wear masks.

Other timing can keep 2 abreast only on 2 or more lanes road during off peak hours. 

Simple and easy to remember. 

Single file by default.... Only when conditions apply then can ride abreast.

is it fair to use public facilities like the road or any common area to seek personal leisure activity??

i dun think so. 

when i was a kid i play soccer under the hdb block, i lost count of the time police come chase us away.

now i grow up, i know that is wrong, i want play soccer. i pay money book field and play , i dun cause inconvenience or danger to the general public.

can we  say just because we dun allow kids to play soccer in public area we lost medals??

i say that is total bulls**t.

its the same for cycling, just another sport like soccer.

Where do we draw the line here?
Based on you said, any car drive on the road cannot be used for personal leisure activity.

That would mean that you can’t drive to HC for food except during working hours.

Yah.... even during phase 3 max can only ride 8 person. 

Tomorrow is only 2 person. 

There are too many that disregard the safe distancing regulations and road safety. 

When I ride, still see some large groups 🤦‍♂️

His line is simple. Even if the cyclists obey the law but cause inconvenience to others when riding recreationally, he isn't in approval of it. 

If drivers clog up the roads to travel for leisure activities and bring inconvenience to others, it becomes a given and automatically accepted. I don't think this logic is exactly right if applied to motorists, it's not a neutral train of thought.

Was out cycling this morning.. road very quiet and seem those big groups disappeared.. can see smaller group of 2 and 3

and sibei suay! Had a punctured on first day of CB! Really CCB! Lucky i got standby mask and took Grab home.
