This conviction is possibly one out of 1000 where the cyclists was culpable - but most of the time no caught.

Lately I've seen motorised scooters that are big and fast. And unlike the original type where you need to stand on it, there's actually a seat in the middle, so the rider is actually sitting. Got one was simulating a motorbike, wore a helmet and was moving on the road, even stopped at traffic light... must borrow the 'i dunno what to say'...

too bad no video to show.

Wonder if the e-bike is from approved vendors?

Home fire insurance will cover if the fire is from an unapproved or modified e-bike?

The mandatory fire insur only covers structural damage and not furnishings, hence the price.

To cover furnishings, must buy own additional fire insurance. Cost follows in tandem.

They need to up the penalties... bigger fines, else longer jail time.

They better do so, and quick.

This morning things got better:

saw a middle age man riding a motorised bicycle and a helmet, going through traffic light with the vehicles. The junction is T-junction, and they came from the road that must turn right at the junction. After turning, saw the bicycle actually got blinking signal light some more... just waiting for brake light to appear...  <_<

That's why TP/LTA need to do their job.

  i didnt know that there are people who still have not given up hope on this..

the one day.. they carry out a sustained sting operation in geylang area to wipe out of the TRUE reckless cyclists. is the one day they earn back my respect..

spandex/leotard wearing cyclists that only take up a few seconds of my time does not piss me off enough...

How to up penalty when no one out there catching them

Lack of enforcement doesn't mean that the other deterrent factors cannot be adjusted...

Ppl are forgetful and needs to be reminded (enforcement) constantly.

W/o reminder (enforcement), who's going to rem the punishment?

Next time, if you see cyclist (Human or electric power), ask them whether they know the punishment for knocking pedestrian.
