  1. Get a Huansu C60!https://www.topgear.com/car-news/suvs/cant-afford-lamborghini-urus-get-huansu-c60 There was a time when it was easy to poke fun at the Chinese car industry, seeing rather too many of its models as blatant copies of designs familiar in Europe. The Range Rover Evoque-aping Land Wind X7 is a classic example. Recently, though, it’s been fair to see China as a developing threat for manufacturers on this side of the world. But now the Huansu C60 has been revealed. While it’s not a total rip-off of a Lamborghini Urus, it’s fair to say there’s more than a passing resemblance, particularly around the front. The headlights and intake shapes are all eerily familiar, though with only a little 2.0-litre turbo engine to keep cool (rather than the Lambo’s 641bhp V8), some of the grille has been turned into daytime running lights. Continue around the car and you’ll find a window line and sculpting seemingly modelled on the Urus, though the C60 looks taller and less aggressive. Whatever you make of the Lambo’s styling, it’s fair to admit the Huansu is less cohesive in comparison. Its designers have put the rear door handle in a much neater place, though…
  2. I mean looking at it on the car itself. Or must take out and see from the inside? Any telltale signs that can split them apart?

  4. Hey folks, I'm looking for a replica Daikin aircon remote control because mine has spoilt. I actually saw a replica on sale at Jurong Point a while back but when I went back there just this last saturday, the stall selling it was no longer there. The original control costs $90 and the replica costs just $45. Anyone knows where I might be able to find a replica remote control for Daikin aircon please? I want a replica not those universal remote controls. Thanks! Mil

  7. If you are a fan of or have played the video game series Halo, then you will recognise the vehicle you see here. It is known as the Warthog (a.k.a the M12 Light Recon Vehicle) and it is like a crossover between a dune buggy and a huge truck. This real life version of the Warthog was commissioned by 343 Industries (the company that made Halo 4) and they engaged a Los Angeles based marketing company to build it. Franchise development director at 343 Industries, Frank O' Connor, mentioned that the company wanted to really build something that people could literally see, touch, reach out and enjoy. O' Connor managed to persuade the marketing department to approve his team's idea and budget. And they engaged Antenna to make the Warthog into a reality and the budget figures ran into the hundreds of thousands. Pat Devereux, chief executive of Antenna, stated that 343 Industries sent him an enormous amount of data for the Warthog. Devereux then took the data to Aria Group; who was responsible for actually building the vehicle. Aria Group is known for building numerous concept vehicles for automakers such as General Motors, Honda and Kia. The company took around six months to build the body to the exact specifications and appearance, including the fake heavy machine gun at the back. Beneath the body lie the chassis, engine and transmission from a Hummer H1. It has a 6.5-litre V8 diesel engine and a four speed automatic gearbox. The Warthog's top speed has been limited to 25 miles per hour (40km/h) and this was done for safety reasons. There are only two differences between the real life and digital versions of the Warthog. The digital Warthog has four wheel steering and this would be too costly for the company to incorporate it into the real life version. The real life version is also around twelve percent smaller than it would have been if the company had made it to a 1:1 scale. Despite this, the 7200lbs (3265kg) Warthog makes almost every other vehicle look small. The Warthog will make appearances at the Electronic Entertainment Expo and ComicCon later this year. Buyers with a huge bank account may possibly buy one as Aria Group is in talks with Microsoft to license the production of the Warthog. Image credit: David Undercoffler / Los Angeles Times
  8. Fans of vintage racing cars would be familiar with racing cars such as the Porsche 917, Ford GT40 and the Lola T70. And most fans of these racing cars could only dream of driving them as the real thing could cost you a lot of money. But now you can stop dreaming and obtain one of these racing cars at a fraction of the price of a real one. South African firm, Bailey Cars, builds replicas of classic racing cars and they have set up shop in North America so fans can fulfil their dreams of owning such racers. Prices ranging from US$83,000 for a Lola T70 to US$103,300 for a Ferrari P4, excluding shipping. You could say that the prices are not that really cheap but considering that they are still much cheaper than buying the real thing and they are built using modern engineering techniques. Each car is built on a modern tube frame chassis. Engine and transmission is based on a customer

  14. [extract] I still remember the days when a cartridge is used to play a video game instead of optical discs. And some of my favourite games, such as Super Mario and Mario Kart, featured the infamous plump Italian plumber, Mario and his younger brother, Luigi. Hours of fun were spent playing these video games, either on the Super NES system or on the handheld Game Boy system. When Nintendo engaged West Coast Customs to make a working life size replica of the two Italian brother

    Diehard BMW fan

Talk about a diehard BMW fan, we have got one here. When Joanne Marsh's husband Steve passed away at the age of 51, she wanted to honor him with a headstone he would be proud to rest under. Nicknamed "BMW Steve," it was only natural that Joanne and her two children should look for a BMW-inspired sculpture. The family found a Chinese exporter who is willing to build a scale-model BMW M3 convertible, Steve's favorite, completely from granite. The model cost
