  1. Let me introduce you, my old 2010 and black Toyota Vios with fake carbon fiber hood! The car with dashing black limited edition 15" inch TRD Wheels, with "Brembo" brake callipers. https://www.facebook.com/carreviewsncare/videos/219492925663578/ Nothing is more fun that driving your own car, where you can sit in and outside of your car without worry the dent and scratches on the car. The interior of the car is spacious and come with full hard plastics dashboard that make the car really dull, suitable for boring man but it last really long time without rattle sound... The NCP93 VVT-i Vios engine is really powerful, cute and small at the same time. Now even Perodua Myvi 2017 are using the engine! The boot space is really big, and I can put all my rubbish inside without worrying dirty my car seats! The car come with hybrid of GT Street and TRD body kit that help to improve the aerodynamics of the car that cruising at 200km/h. This is no joke, man. I love the car because it don't have cruise control, volume control, paddle shift control on steering, etc...
  2. Dear folks, Am building a brand campaign with a proposed tagline riding on Street Cred.... Just wanna hear some of your opinions (if any) as general readers of print media... Do you guys think there's a negative view on the use of "Street Cred" for branding purpose (towards publications). Feedback from my team is that yes, while it has elements of bold, hip and sassiness, it also conjures a sense of lawlessness and anti-estab, and has some connotations and associations with gangsterism. It is likely to alienate mainstream readers who are not "street cred".... There is a full suite of execution if this theme materialises, of which viral marketing would be one of the platforms of course, the last I wanna have is to have my campaign fail and the term Street Cred being ridiculed as Street Crap !!! Any inputs would be appreciated !!! and ooh, Happy New Year and have a roaring success in the year of the Dragon!!
  3. Labour chief Lim Swee Say says NTUC is moving towards a more pro-worker stance in the light of a full-employment economy. --PHOTO: BT THE NTUC is moving towards a more pro-worker stance in the light of a full-employment economy and is thinking of suggesting more measures to tighten the supply of foreign workers. The labour movement also wants to be more transparent about its internal discussions with the Government and employers so Singaporeans can appreciate the trade-offs made in positions taken on worker issues, said labour chief Lim Swee Say on Monday. 'While it is important for Singapore to be first in global competition, of growing importance is that Singaporeans come first in our local employment ...this is the best of both worlds that Singaporeans are expecting,' Mr Lim said. Mr Lim also said that the NTUC is thinking of pushing for a cap on the number of foreigners in white-collar jobs as well as to make a company's access to foreign workers conditional on it raising productivity or hiring older workers

  8. Internet users learning netiquette the hard way Observers say recent incidents where people got burnt when their comments were put on Net show need for discretion By Ken Kwek & Aaron Low A SEEMINGLY innocent comment posted on his schoolmate's blog left Mr Gerald Poh with fewer friends and a lesson about the Internet's real-life impact. He criticised her over a post she had put up about other people in their junior college a few years back. 'Before I knew it, people were taking sides over my comment, escalating into a war between friends. Many of our friends still don't talk to each other because of that,' said Mr Poh, 21, a biology undergraduate now. 'Many people underestimate the power of such communication, until they get burnt.' Such incidents over the Internet have made news lately. Exchanges within limited circles can suddenly widen at the click of a button and even spark national controversies. Take, for example, the case of Second Lieutenant Li Hongyi, 20, the son of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. STOP TO THINK 'To persuade others, you have to step into their shoes and be mindful of social norms. All this requires reflection, and unfortunately reflection isn't a practice that's encouraged by today's Internet tools.' DR CHERIAN GEORGE, a journalism lecturer at Nanyang Technological University. He sent a letter to senior military chiefs last month, complaining about the misconduct of a fellow officer. He made the mistake of broadcasting it to other servicemen, earning him a reprimand. The Singapore Armed Forces, not known for publicising internal matters, was forced to engage the matter after the e-mail found its way into blogs, online forums and the local and foreign press. Observers say it is time Internet users learnt real-world realities like the need for discretion. Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC MP Charles Chong said Singaporeans are using the Internet to broadcast complaints and musings well beyond the relevant recipients. 'I get lots of e-mail from youth, which are cc'ed (carbon-copied) to the President, PM and all the MPs,' he said. 'I'm not sure they are well thought through.' In the age of always-on broadband connections, the medium is so easy to use that people are 'posting faster than they can process', said Dr Cherian George, a journalism lecturer at Nanyang Technological University. 'To persuade others when you blog, you have to step into their shoes and be mindful of social norms. All this requires reflection, and unfortunately reflection isn't a practice that's encouraged by today's Internet tools,' he said. Another controversial case involved the daughter of Ang Mo Kio GRC MP Wee Siew Kim. Miss Wee Shu Min, 19, posted a comment on her blog last year denigrating the unemployment worries of a 35-year-old worker. Miss Wee unwittingly became a symbol of elitism in a debate that even reached Parliament. Mr Wee said that 'it was a hard lesson' for him and his daughter. '(I learnt) that it is so easy for people to take phrases out of context and whip up a maelstrom out of it,' he added. Other incidents include the resignation last November of opposition politician Goh Meng Seng from the Workers' Party, after posting online comments that he admitted gave the party 'a bad image'. He said he was then not sufficiently aware of the Internet's power as 'a double-edged sword'. Mr Goh, who has since joined the National Solidarity Party, added that he is now more careful online. Dr Daniel Goh, an assistant professor of sociology at the National University of Singapore, noted that the medium creates 'perfectly recorded Internet transcripts' that can be used against the writer. A blogger himself, he said he takes pains to think about those at the receiving end. 'My wife complains that I take too long to compose my words, even for a simple e-mail. 'That is because when I write, I am also imagining those people who may be implicated, as they would be if I were actually in a face-to-face conversation.' Dr Lim Sun Sun, who teaches media literacy at National University of Singapore, said many people still do not realise that the Internet is a place where one's hidden thoughts may be open for all to read. 'The Internet may allow a person to be more open or less inhibited, which is a good thing. But there must be a certain level of 'public self-awareness' as the Web is not a wholly private medium,' she said. But while mishaps resulting in negative publicity may occur at times, parents should not be 'paranoid or take a censorious approach', said Dr Lim. Housewife Ann Lee, 50, has tried to educate herself by doing what her 15-year-old son is doing online, like blogging and watching videos. Said Mrs Lee: 'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. At least, I experience what they do and can guide them on the steps to take to protect themselves.' [email protected] [email protected] Taken out of context? I thot her blog is so clear n straightforward. Apologise liao still grumble. Sucks man. Like father like daugther. U want this type of MP?
  9. Let me explain to you guys. Family plan is to assist those who frequently visit their family and is entitle to purchase the family season ticket at 50% but then you have to own a 100% season ticket at your own estate. In order to purchase the family season ticket, i have to: * Visit HDB branch/AXS machine on every 28th of the month. * No GIRO payment Isnt it a crap? Last week, i came back from my Honey Moon, hence missed out the purchased, and it was already mid of the month. I drop by HDB branches, wanted to purchase the family season ticket, and the officer responded me, there is no more family season ticket due to all the lots has been taken up. I explained to her, i am just visiting not overnight, at most 2hrs++, on weekends, there is plenty of lots. The officer just keep mentioning no more lots for the family season ticket. I used to have 100% season ticket at my mum place, i know the situation very well cause even sometime i could not get a parking lot at night after 8++pm, but there is still other lots at other blocks. The family plan to what i see, is not helping at all in terms of financial & family relationships. Moreover, I cant use GIRO which i personally think that because GIRO got rebate and HDB is not willing to lose a few dollars or say absorb the loses. Damn crap man. However, i found a way to purchase the family season ticket that is through DBS online banking. But there is a flaw. That is as long as i purchase online, there wont be anyone responding me whether there is anymore family season ticket. I m fine to make internet banking on every 28th of the month, but i just find it crap whereby i cant pay by GIRO.

  12. Point No 1: reduce braking Point No 2: servicing depending on mileage Point No 3: Reduce load Point No 4: Check Tyres air pressure Point No 5: Minimize using of Air-Con All this is basic one mah, want to increase say increase la, why suggests all this guide. Point No 1: so many idiot drivers, braking is unstoppable Point No 2: how many drivers really cares for their cars Point No 3: a car is for transport, unlikely to minimize load, probably dont ferry passengers Point No 4: again, how many drivers cares, even tyres/brakes wear out also dont want to change, i can heard screeching sounds from other vehicles Point No 5: Singapore is so hot, how to mimimize the use of Air-Con, if by winding down the windows, laggy worst, the friction will even use more petrol, night time probably.

  14. http://www.austin360.com/music/content/mus...09/28cover.html Read this article about new CDs in the market being remastered to the point of horrible...something i find quite true. Just wondering, are there any sites you guys know that actually classify the CDs and good or horrible? I've just about had enough of buying or waiting for a new CD to be released, just to buy and realise how horrible it is and not wanting to listen to it anymore. I'm not talking about those older CDs or Audiophile discs...i'm talking about the newer artists and albums...because cannot always listen to oldies right :) It's the new albums that i'm so worried about buying and regretting...
