  1. The guy in the video thought his actions would go undetected but the video has been going round on the web since yesterday. Morale if the story: With most cars having car cam on board, do something stupid, better prepare to have your face seen all over the world. Hahaha https://www.tiktok.com/@taypa4227/video/7038289851099303214?is_copy_url=0&is_from_webapp=v1&q=taypay4227&t=1638974319347&sender_device=pc&sender_web_id=6937337549375636998 So it started with the guy securing the tree on his car, keeping himself out of the driver seat, then he try to gain assess through the boot and... 2. source: https://www.tomsguide.com/news/joker-malware-has-infected-500000-huawei-phones-what-you-need-to-know 10 different Huawei apps had the malware Security researchers have found that over half a million Huawei smartphones have been infected with the Joker malware. The Joker malware has been doing the rounds on Google Play for a while, and signs up the infected phone to premium mobile subscriptions. But this is the first time it’s been spotted on Huawei devices (via BleepingComputer). The malware was discovered by researchers from Russian antivirus firm Doctor Web, hidden inside 10 harmless-looking apps within Huawei’s AppGallery. Normally, Joker malware spreads through Google Play, but researchers have now realized the people behind it appear to have expanded their efforts to alternate Android app stores. What’s more, Joker could also steal contact lists and text messages, in order to help itself spread amongst your friends. The malware was first disclosed after it made its way to Google Play back in 2019. Google has booted a couple dozen apps from Google Play in the time since, but the people behind these scam apps now appear to be taking it further afield. Doctor Web researchers noted that in this instance, the maximum number of services Joker will subscribe a user to is five. That's a lot, and it was noted that the crooks behind the scenes could increase that number whenever they liked. The apps in question include a virtual keyboard, messaging apps, sticker collections, a game, and more. Many of the offending apps came from the same developer, and fortunately Huawei has removed them all from AppGallery now — though not before they were downloaded over half a million times. Unfortunately, not having a Huawei phone doesn’t mean you’re safe. Researchers noted that the same modules downloaded by infected apps in AppGallery were also present in apps on Google Play. A full list of indicators of compromise is available here, if you want to check for yourself. So sticking to Google’s own app store doesn’t guarantee safety; be careful what you download, folks, no matter where you get those apps from.
  3. On and off, we will come across news, photo or video footage of driver(s) performing stupid stunt / act with their ride(s). Let me start off with these 3 cases reported recently (overseas). Autonomous car from Ford? Not yet... Residents of Arlington, Virginia, were stunned to see an unmarked, gray Ford Transit van tooling around town without a human driver behind the wheel. According to ARLnow, the vehicle was spotted driving through the Courthouse and Clarendon neighborhoods with nary a soul in the driver’s seat. Some speculated the van was part of Virginia Tech’s recently approved autonomous driving tests... ... A few days later, NBC 4’s transportation reporter Adam Tuss spied the driverless van again at a stop sign. And when he approached, Tuss noticed the driver’s “seat” had two hands and legs sticking out from it. Tuss tried to get the costumed driver to talk, but they sped off, running a red light in the process. A Cage to Protect Your Rolls-Royce, Will it Work? A rich guy buys $645,000 (Australian dollars) Rolls-Royce a few weeks ago, and then decides the parking structure of the luxury apartment building just wasn’t secure enough to safeguard his Roller. The Rolls owner had a custom cage built surrounding his parking space to protect the Rolls-Royce, sort of like how you’d protect a $500,000 labradoodle. Unfortunately, that very cage, built with the sole purpose to protect the car, also proved to be what caused a good amount of damage to the car, since the owner soon found that navigating in and out of the cage was a challenge beyond his skills, and ended up driving into one of the cage’s support poles and walls, causing a surprising amount of damage to the car. The steering was damaged along with a good bit of bodywork on the side and rear, plus the loss of a marker light that probably costs more than most of the objects you and I interact with every day. Ouch... ... Lessons learnt: Cars aren’t meant to be kept in cages. Especially if you’re pretty shitty at parking as it is. Porsche Pay For Owners Sunglasses? Lawsuits and settlements are usually pretty straight forward but one involving Porsche is anything but normal. A class action lawsuit has resulted in the company being held responsible for compensating owners for sunglasses - yes, sunglasses. According to the settlement, customers who purchased or leased any Porsche model between 2007–2016 are eligible to make a claim. However, the vehicle must have been equipped with a Cognac, Luxor Beige, Natural Brown, Platinum Grey, or Sand Beige dashboard. If you're one of the handful of Porsche owners who fit that description, you could receive up to $175 in compensation. Affected owners can check out DashboardGlareClassAction.com for more information but claims for sunglasses need to be submitted by September 21st. Customers who made other modifications to reduce the glare coming off their dashboards will have until June 25th of next year to submit a claim. The whole issue sounds ridiculous but the original lawsuit claimed the glare was a safety issue. Porsche objected to this notion but eventually decided a lengthy court battle wasn't worth the effort. In case you were wonder, the lawyers for the plaintiffs will apparently receive $790,000 in attorneys’ fees and $50,000 for expenses. That should be more than enough to buy a few Porsches and their own pair of sunglasses. Penny wise, pound foolish??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJjh7lW5OZE From the land that brings you the Golden Horse Awards comes a series of fake accidents intended for insurance claims. The latest incident shows a young man who simply walked onto the road right in front of an oncoming car and squatted down. The best part is, the car has sufficient time to slow down and avoided the pedestrian. This public nuisance is probably risk-adverse and hence resulted in the failed attempt. The footage looks rather hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDfy6lxuSgo This incident is not the first of its kind in Taipei in recent weeks. Previously, a young girl simply run towards a car and threw herself onto the bonnet, pretending to be injured. The whole incident was captured by the CCTV in the car. Well, at least this young lady is braver than the joker above. However, it looked painfully silly as well. The pair should get some acting tips from the winner of the 2011 Golden Horse Award Best Leading Actor, Andy Lau. Try harder next time!

  12. Hm..... Very very disappointed with the buyers i met along my car modifications journey. I was in the process of upgrading my brake kit and advertise to sell my current 4pot front and 2pot rear which was customised to fit my current ride. Got it customised for like well over 2K and selling at 1.6K for whole set. Then one buyer - J ask me to reserve for him. Ok so i did and reserved it for him. Ask me for further discount which i was like ok 1.3K and swap fees on J. Then last minute tell me long short cxxk and bull story which I was not in the least interested. Then another guy - W was talking me all this while not to sell to J cos of the good deal. Why give the better deal to someone you dont know might as well give the deal to me? I knew W for a couple of years. So when J tell me stories, i told him never mind, i can sell to others. Then all was confirmed with W but in the end W also tell me cxxk and bull story. Never did i once feel so sianz in my car journey. I was like not making money and simply offering to sell off my setup to a similiar car owner cos everything now is pluck and play. The customisation took me 4 days back then. In the end, i decided to have the set-up sold back to my workshop. Very disappointing to meet people who TALK really BIG but never pull it off in the end. As simple as you dont mean it then dont say la. Why come and disturb in the first place. I guess i am still pretty much affected by these people till date. This incident happened about 2 weeks ago.
  13. July 8, 2008 Five years? MM Lee's estimate was optimistic WITH reference to last Friday's column, 'Welcome to scary Singapore, land of four million smiles', I could not help but disagree with Ms Lynn Lee. It is nave to assume that all human beings can be trusted to do the right thing, and that we should appeal to the public by their conscience and sense of fairness. While it is ideal to strive towards a kinder and gentler society, Singaporeans must be made to realise the world is actually very brutal. Why is Singapore schizophrenic? To me, it is both a modern-day wonder and an insane attempt to push the boundary of human sociology, political science and human ingenuity. With a population of 4.6 million and no natural resources, Singapore is like a 3,000m-tall giant inverted pyramid balancing precariously on a ridiculously small footprint of less than 700 sq km. To further create instability and complexity, the population is a mixture of races, religions and cultures due to its historical immigrant origins. In some ways, Singapore's few short decades of peace may bring hope to a millennium of violence in Jerusalem. On the contrary, I feel Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew is very optimistic when he said recently that Singapore can be unscrambled in just five years. With modern telecommunications and banking infrastructure, trillions of dollars can be transferred out of Singapore in an instant if the current leaders and their policies change overnight. Singapore's economy can become an empty shell within weeks. The grim reality is that global financial investors would have no qualms in rendering us incapacitated in this fiercely competitive world. In many ways, Singapore is a failure due to its own success. Thanks to its ability to provide housing, work opportunities and good economic growth year after year in a First World environment, it is no wonder that most Singaporeans, especially those born after 1965, have bred a false sense of security, thinking modern Singapore is a creation by mother nature. Recently, opposition politician Tan Lead Shake made headlines after a tragic event in his family. But what chills the bones is the fact that in the past three elections, an average of more than 20 per cent of the electorate voted for him or anyone else who stood for election with little consideration of his credentials or abilities. Will Singapore last as long as the 3,000-year-old Great Pyramids of Giza? Very unlikely, when civilisations in history last an average of less than 500 years. But the real answer lies not just in our children but in the choice we make now to ensure a better future for them now. Syu Ying Kwok http://www.straitstimes.com/ST%2BForum/Sto...ory_255634.html hope bad karma will hit his family soon. wat a farking moron pple family die use as excuse to hamtam him. pui!
