Oh, thought for Grab, drivers need to manually key in the ERP and collect cash separately.. So grab is fix fare plus erp need to pay separately.

driver key in erp charges but dun need to collect cash separately.  But rider must check receipt whether the erp added is correct, driver may add more.

Got good and bad ma. Unlike grab is driver need to ownself collect cash from pax for erp. Whereas uber is included in the fare and if the initial estimate is not correct for erp toll then collect the balance from driver lor. Fair and square ma.

Uber must check every trip to see if they include ERP correctly.

Quite a few times, they short changed me.

xxx, would you be my
Valentine?

Dear xxx,

Ever since we first met on 07.08.2014 ,
I've always cherished the special moments we've had.

Can you believe it? We've taken

36 rides together,

travelled to 14 places all over Singapore. That's a breath-taking 484.4km!

I know I'm not always perfect and even though you've cancelled on me 1 times, I' ll always try to be there for you through and (or haze).

We've spent 30 days together and here's to many more.

What uber do in the past confirmed short change driver, cause the actual ERP incurred is always higher than the estimated fare. For rider confirmed happy since they are paying less. Lol. So now uber charged the actual ERP charges incurred and adjust the fare accordingly.

I dunno how Uber charge rider, whether based on wrong estimate.

But I do know, that I'm not going to subsidize rider or Uber. So I'll ask for my money back. [:p]

This morning happened again. When I use CTE, there's 2 ERP, $1 + $4 and Nicoll Highway $2.

They only pay me $6, so I had to ask back the $1, Uber owes me.

ERP is a big issue, especially when your fare is small like $4.

A $2 ERP is a big 50% added to the fare.

Example, when a driver is just outside Nicoll Highway around Stadium.

Then he's asked to go in to pickup a rider.

He has to bear the $2 ERP (depending on the time) and finds his rider fare is only $4.

You cant blame uber

Everyone kept using grab cos it cheaper

But when the monster grew into the size of china

It's pay back time

In my humble opinion

When consumer see the pricing of grab and uber

Grab dont show you the erp cost

So it natural to think grab is cheaper

Oh well......meats on the chopping board

If Grab really takeover Uber, this is probably what will happen.

1. Consolidation phase - riders and drivers data are transferred to Grab's. Duplicates are deleted, since there will be some individuals using both currently. This may take months or a couple of years.

2. Uber employees will be retrenched, maybe some offered a position in Grab.

3. Uber app will be removed - those who used to compare price between the 2 apps will no longer be able to do so. It's Grab pricing now.

So, there you go, Uber will fade into history.
