  21. http://www.honda.com.my/news-events/news111_p_09102007.cfm Petaling Jaya, 9 October - Honda Malaysia announced today that the All-New Stream -- the second generation of the stylish 7-seater MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle), will be available for sale at all Honda authorized dealers in November this year. According to Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr.Atsushi Fujimoto, Malaysian customers are anticipating and have been enquiring about the arrival of the new generation Stream."We are currently in the midst of preparing for its launch, and it will soon be made available to our customers in November through our authorized dealers nationwide," he said. "Honda cars have a strong following here in Malaysia and we are confident that the All-New Stream will be well received. Only at Honda authorized dealers, all Honda vehicles including the new generation Stream come with 3 years warranty and free maintenance for the first six months. There will also be promotional offers for Stream parts and services, available at all authorized dealers," he added. "The current Stream 2.0 iVS is priced at RM153,800. In the tradition of Honda's dedication to provide products and services of the highest quality at reasonable prices, the All-New Stream is packaged to delight our customers with its latest product features and specifications coupled with extensive after sales warranty and services," said Fujimoto. 49 of Honda's 52 authorized dealers nationwide are 3S Centers, which provide sales, service and spare parts under one roof, allowing customers to experience Honda's new products while perusing the after-sales facilities available. Prioritizing customer satisfaction and providing excellent after-sales service is what 3S is all about. The Stream is a practical MPV combining dynamic styling features, advanced drivability and a real sporty image. It was first launched in Japan in October 2000 as a minivan and was developed to achieve a new 7-seater value concept based on three themes: a design anticipating the changing needs and style of the 21st century; sporty performance for the individual; and an innovative approach to interior space, comfort and refinement. Following its introduction, the Stream recorded strong sales globally, with a total of 285,744 units sold particularly in the Japanese market where the average monthly sales exceeded original target of 6,000 to reach 10,000 units per month. It was one of the main contributing automobile models to Honda's worldwide 2001 fiscal year financial results. Over the years, the Stream has also accumulated a string of award accolades in the Southeast Asia region, ranging from the Best MPV, 2002 (Straits Times Life Motoring, Singapore); Car of the Year, 2003 (New Straits Times MasterCard, Malaysia - Mid MPV Category); to Best MPV 2003 and Indonesia Car of the Year, Best Mini MPV, Best Compact MPV 2004 (Mobil Motor Magazine, Indonesia). The spanking new generation Stream made its debut in Japan last July and 70,000 units already have been sold as of September 2007. It boasts a series of improvement from the previous generation stemming from Honda's renowned innovations and craftsmanship. After Japan, it was progressively launched in Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau, and has so far been well received. Honda Malaysia is expecting similar response and take-up from local customers. 22. July 19, 2008 New design of ERP gantries draw praise from motorists By Aw Cheng Wei First unveiled on July 7 when five gantries downtown became operational, the new-style display has since been set up on 40 of 65 gantries in use. -- ST PHOTO: NG SOR LUAN MOTORISTS are giving the thumbs up to ERP charges - at least the way the amount payable is displayed on gantries. Snazzy colourful icons of vehicles and the amount motorists have to pay at various times are now revealed brightly in a panel at the top of the gantry. First unveiled on July 7 when five gantries downtown became operational, the new-style display has since been set up on 40 of 65 gantries in use. By Nov 3, the panels, each costing about $65,000, will be on 70 gantries. This is when five more gantries will come onstream in places like Commonwealth Avenue, Jalan Bukit Merah and Alexandra Road. Previously, the gantries flashed out only this fact - ERP in operation - with the fee displayed in a panel at the roadside, and that only for some gantries. A spokesman for the Land Transport Authority said the fee payable can now be read 100m from the gantry. So motorists will have an idea of what they will have to pay the next time they travel that way around that time. http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2BNews/...10.html?vgnmr=1
  23. Source: http://app.lta.gov.sg/corp_press_content.asp?start=1881 November 2008 - Operation of 6 new gantries on arterial roads and expressways 13. Based on the new ERP criteria (i.e. 85th percentile speed measurement method), traffic speeds at 6 locations on arterial roads and expressways have fallen below the optimal speed range, and ERP is needed to manage the congestion that is building up at these areas. The new gantries will operate from 3 November 2008 onwards, and they are as shown below. Please refer to Annex D for the location of the 6 new gantries. a. 3 new gantries on roads along the Outer Cordon in the morning. LTA will be installing new gantries at the following 3 locations along the Outer Cordon to address the congestion on these roads, namely (i) Commonwealth Avenue; (ii) Jalan Bukit Merah; and (iii) Alexandra Road. b. 2 new gantries on expressways in the morning. One gantry is along AYE (westbound), near Alexandra Road, and the other is along PIE (westbound), near Eunos. c. New gantry on Serangoon Road in the evening. To address the congestion on Serangoon Road during the evening peak hours, LTA will be installing a gantry there. 14. The operation hours and ERP rates at each of the 6 gantries above will be determined and announced closer to their implementation in November 2008. [Please refer to Annex E for a map showing the location of the Outer Cordon.] Map: http://www.lta.gov.sg/images/Annex%20D_ERP...tries_clred.pdf
  24. It is reported in Today's papers that car sales went down 21.9% in November. My question is how can that be when the COE allocated is all snapped up? How many new cars bought is surely more a COE factor rather than a willingness to purchase? . If car sales dipped 21% I think COE will be $1 already
