[laugh] That is much to be expected from thise living in poverty where they are struggling to put food on the table for the family, I'm sure if you give north korean prisoners buffet they can do better than those chinamen. I rmb quite a few years back there is this kopitiam at near bartley, the boss of the mix veg rice offer free rice top up for all those FW construction worker out of goodwill, cause he is kind hearted, he only make $1200/month after deducting running cost and expense. But after awhile he noticed that alot of them requested for more rice than they could. End up alot of wastage. Humans are too greedy for their own good. She is friendly but professional and has always given me good deals matching the other shop opposite her (and in fact giving me small discount some more) and i buy all my gadget stuff for my company from J2M. Never had any problems with her at all. Having said that I can't understand how can an honest lady sleep with a dishonest scumbag husband. This comes after Mobile Air declined to sign a Voluntary Compliance Agreement and "pledge to stop their unfair practices", CASE said in a news release on Wednesday (Nov 12). If the injunction is granted by a court, Mobile Air will be restricted from engaging in unfair practices as stated in the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, said CASE. However, the entire process could take several months. "In order to take an injunction against the company, CASE needs to seek necessary approval from relevant committees as well as the Injunction Proposals Review Panel at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and then apply to the court for the injunction," CASE explained. Mobile Air sparked outrage, after images of a Vietnamese tourist going down on his knees to tearfully beg for a refund on its premises went viral, shortly after the shop made headlines for trying to give another customer a $1,010 refund in 18kg of coins. Only after going to court can a company be restricted from unfair practices? Shouldn't all companies be restricted from unfair practices in the first place? PHOTO: TNP READER Sim Lim Square may be in the news for some of its vendors' rogue sales tactics lately. But it is People's Park Complex in Chinatown which has the most number of consumer complaints among shopping centres in Singapore. And these also involve mobile phone retailers. Out of the 244 cases against the mobile phone industry that the Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) has handled so far this year , about 40 per cent, or 96 cases, involved shops at People' Park Complex. In comparison, Sim Lim Square accounted for 49 cases, or about 20 per cent of the complaints. Heated arguments with customers and police presence is common, said tenants and regulars of the mall. GLZT 6th Gear November 13, 2014 Share November 13, 2014 (edited) Sim lim square is famous for first 2 levels of cheating of consumer electronic products, mobile phones just being 1 of the product. They also cheat on cameras etc. So if you only take mobile phone industry, of course maybe lose to people's park. Moreover, I believe more tourists go to sim lim, and many of them are unaware there is an organisation such as CASE to report these matters to. So many just LL suck it up and never report.
