Acemundo Supercharged December 11, 2014 Share December 11, 2014 really dont understand this kiasu syndrome. its not as if you are changing few tenths of thousands to see real differences in saving. if changing few grand i really dont see the point in queuing up for this. people just love the thrill of thinking they have gotten something on the cheap hehe....that's human psyche but they didn't even do the calculation to see how much they save eg for S$1000 exchange only save $20 if the rate difference is 0.02 eg 2.6 vs 2.62 ↡ Advertisement

Hamburger Hypersonic December 11, 2014 Share December 11, 2014 For the regular salary man .. 2.65 vs. 2.50 .. he takes his $2000 salary to change, its $300 difference. He takes his 6-month savings to change, its $1800 more, better than his year end bonus. But probably no need to rush. quite significant....i take back my words. ok , i am lazy to Q and change

Which is S$680 @ 2.65. He takes $2000 to change monthly, his pay is definitely more than $2000. How is $680 better than his year end bonus unless he get way less than 1/2 month? Spring Moderator December 11, 2014 Share December 11, 2014 donno whats happening to RM$ Could it be due to dropping oil prices? Then again Malaysia only export Palm Oil and even then this is now not their main export item anymore!
Spring Moderator December 11, 2014 Share December 11, 2014 Hedging ? You mean hedging as in they sell first in anticipation of the price dropping further? Don't think this is applicable in Cash market. Only for FX Forward market can this be done i think.

But Malaysia???

IMHO, the worst place to change ringgit is inside JB shopping malls. City Square, KSL, Komtar JBCC, Pandan City, Aeon Jusco (every branches) all no good.
