LTA must make it cmpulsory to have insurrance coverage for cyclist especially those with electronic types ! As we can see the speed can go as high as 30km/h and any accident wI'll be serious one ! I hope LTA to do something first before tragedy happen !

Oh? But are the insurance companies willing to do this? For vehicles we are already looking at inflated claims, court issues and what's not. It will end up costly to buy insurance coverage just to cycle on the road. And who's going to enforce it or rather who has the manpower to enforce that cyclist must buy insurance coverage?

 

Talk is easy and cheap. We already knew that. W/o enforcement it's just....talk and talk and talk and talk .....

 

And for those c0cks who will be rich enough to buy insurance coverage will most likely cycle like the monkey owns the road while other road users owe it to him. Do you seriously want that?

What do you think those people can afford to buy electric bike to ride on the path way like grandfather road at high speed no rich ? They are just abuse the COE system and convenient than motorbike as they have flexilibity on road or path way . This kind of electronic bike must only ride on road and insured with insurance or better still with COE .

Near Chinatown. Saw a large group of cyclists in front, in the bus lane. This was about 2pm on a weekday afternoon. The group was maybe 20 to 30 cyclists.

On closer look, I think they were non-Singaporeans - maybe tourists on some type of cycling tour in Singapore? They looked middle aged and all wore the same white bicycle helmet.

Saw more retards in leotards today beating red lights and having such bright blinding strobe lights.

 

I don't wish they get into an accident...

But I won't mourn either if a cement truck ran down the dumb ones. Natural selection works quite effectively sometimes.

Bottom is West Coast Highway.

 

On top is Pasir Panjang semi expressway.

 

Legally, both are not expressway.
