The camera is there to record video for broadcast at his wake la.

 

These cyclists are one bloody small dot on the road and they don't even use head and tail lights in the day. To be honest, if they are cycling real fast, it is nearly impossible to see them. Especially when your C pillar or even a lamp post could block your view.

 

 

The cyclist also one kind one. The expletives like part of his natural vocab already. Every sentence will have colourful words. Got camera like big fark. One day if he got hit, the camera is not going to protect him much.

 

These kind of busy roads not for them to cycle.

 

He was trying to run away la.

Not sure why cyclist should even be on the road:

 

1. No eyesight check to ensure they are not colour blind or poor sighted. We need to do this before we can get class 2/3 license

2. No structure qualifying courses/licensing scheme to ensure they understand traffic rules. We have that basic/advance theory thingy

3. No license plate for enforcement (e..g beating red-light, road hogging, inconsiderate riding & etc)

4. No need to pay road tax/ERP

5. No mandatory insurance to ensure drivers can claim aganist cyclist or vice versa

6. No Viacom check to ensure their bicycles are road worthy (e.g. brakes, tyre condition, necessary light & etc)

 

So why can they be on the road ? Isn't that double standard ? They simply add no value to the goverment (at least monetary) and other paying road users at all. GTFO.

 

And please, do not abuse in the name of environmental friendly to support cyclist, there are many more options that can be done without annoying other road users. It's just politics and somebody pocket going to get hurt by doing so that stop the progress.

I would not use such a bz road for commuting. If necessary, I will make police report for driver trying to run me over (I did that against taxi driver).

I had a near miss incident with a bicyclist recently that it is still haunting when I am crossing a red light today.

The incident happened on a Saturday at around 6+ pm when the sun was setting. I was heading from the Bishan Park to the Junction 8 and needed to cross a red light junction along Bishan road. At about 10m before I reached the junction, the traffic light changed to red in favour of the pedestrians. All vehicles had stopped and a lady had started crossing. I picked up my pace and started to cross the road. I could clearly see the 'green man' was still not flashing. Suddenly, a bicyclist zoomed pass in front of me at very high speed. He just managed to swerve pass me at the last second to avoid hitting me. I was so close to being knocked down that I stood rooted to the ground for some time. From driving experience, his speed should be around 40km/h. The bicyclist did not even looked back or signal his hand of apology.

I am writing this so that you, your loved ones, children could be watchful when you are crossing red light junction, even when the light is in your favour!

Cuz nowadays actions cams are cheap ma. Everyone can get one. I also ride around with a camera on my helmet and one pointing to the back. Used to be able to send in one video to TP every time i go out and cycle. Nowadays drivers are more courteous to cyclists. Hardly have to send in any video. Most will give way or change lane to overtake.

I was on outside lane, a leo-tard cyclist on the inner lane, when he realise a stream was approaching, he immediately switch to the middle of the inside lane to block the oncoming vehicle and rode slowly on purpose, the stream immediately tap the horn to warn him his existence. Immediately the cyclist retaliated with vulgarities and middle fingers. The stream bo hieu and drove on.

 

I suppose to turn left but I stayed on the outside because I dont know what the retard cyclist going to do. This retard will sooner or later go under someone's wheels.
